it clears things up a bit in game, and here in the forums lol.
Really, everyone should think a bit before they use some tricks from some youtube videos. lets take the shacos for example. people did helltides, and got shacos. it appeared to be a higher drop rate than intended so 142 lucky b’s got a shaco. is that exploiting? obviously not. Buying gold, or using the eternal to season transfer bug is pretty obviously one. so yea. i hope we get to see more “i was banned tho i didnt do nothing” posts =)
side note, most of the banned people get to buy a new d4 which helps supporting the devs who really try this time. (not always the best decisions of course, but hey, the game is young)

Why is forums access still available to those banned?
They banned the game license, like the keys. The general account is not banned as the account may be linked to other games such as COD, WOW…

Blizzard forums used to be more entertaining. You’d get countless different “I did nothing wrong but got banned” posts where the poster would accuse Blizzard of being Diablo himself, only for a GM to post and put them on full blast saying exactly what they did wrong. They probably can’t do that anymore for privacy and legal reasons but it caused me to always doubt forum posters that plead their innocence.

oh god, i think ive seen such posts, ive been a bit absent as i got rid of my old account and forgot the details after some WoW desasters. but yea, back in d4 and its still a blast here. like, every nmd i take some time and read some stuff here and its hilarious ^^

You definitely should not be praising Blizzard for banning these players. If you actually knew what this vulnerability indicates and how they coded the game, you would be pissed.
The potential to grief players is limitless.
The fact that we render every single players stash when we render them, makes render based targeted attacks that much more potent. Just wait until we get griefers Target DDoSing players on render in HC.

how is buying gold exploiting? the game specifically allows you to trade gold and rare items.
