Summoning minions wasn’t an issue however, when I got to level 25 and did the necromancer mission and finished it I had unlocked the golem. But I cannot summon it or see it anymore, even though it’s in the book of the dead unlocked.
I play on Xbox Series X.
I just had the same thing happen to me on PC.
He says “there it is, your golem” and he just stands there. I tried to use Summon ability on the corpses in the room and nothing. Left and ventured out, nothing. It doesnt show the Icon for a golem like it does for the mages and skelies either.

This isn’t a bug. Summon Golem is a separate ability from Summon Skeletons.
You equip it in the skill bar menu. The game did not do a very good job of explaining this.
Okay how do I equip it on xbox then. We don’t have that s button mini panel open. And when I try to assign a skill it won’t let me pad up to golem on my xbox controller
Xbox I figured it out! Press the select then go ver to abilities/skilltree. Press the left stick down while on that screen then the mini assign tab will pop up. Only then is it possible to acually go down to golem and and assign. Its stupid how they never elaborated for us console user. Here you go my man
