Depending on your damage and speed of play, you may not benefit from the loss of grouping. T75-80 is my preferred “testing” range if i feel a spec is starting to come together; just start running dungeons untill it gets uncomfortable (if it does). This is pressure testing your spec and will identify what and where the problems are.
On my Ball Sorc I only use Tibault and Esu’s to clear T100. I have Mage Lord on my Chest armor. No Disobedience btw.
On my Burn Sorc, I use Godslayer, Tibault, Xfal, Tal Rasha, Flickerstep to clear T100.
On my Blizz Sorc I use Tibault, Flickerstep, Blue Rose, Tal Rasha to clear T97. I haven’t gotten a T100 sigil on this Sorc but I figured it won’t be different than T97.
uhm for a T100 I would def drop the godslayer for a defensive aspect on the head yes(unless you invested heavily into damage reduction on the paragon boards, or find a shako/andariel :p) and also make sure the headpiece and chest are rolled with 29% armor so that disobedience makes your armor worth it vs monster above level 100, also running with curative elixir up makes most of the dots that will hit you harmless. If you use armor on gems replace them with resistances taking them all to 50 and/or above makes a huge difference in terms of damage mitigation.
I also run Temerity over Tibault for 100 because being one shotted by any kind of archers out of the screen sucks and there’s nothing you can do about that, even disobedience is not always up(it requires you to hit stuff and it has a ramp up time) so I try to keep the barrier up all the time with potions while moving through. Any t100(that’s not armor/resistance breaker) goes smooth enough then.
You have CL right, that gives you back mana somehow I’m sure there are both a ring aspect and a legendary node for it, and there’s prodigy also, if you don’t run two unique rings, so it shouldn’t be a problem to drop Tibault for temerity, if your mana management is sorted, and stay alive more consistently ^^
I would also never consider an Oculus for t100(although I know it works) unless you play from the edge of the screen all the time and clear everything to make space for the random cursed teleport eventual landing, no idea where you got that idea from but it doesn’t make you untouchable… to me, it only causes frustration being teleported sideways and backwards, into walls or explosions, at random…
Oculus just makes it very hard to be hit by melee. You can maintain range from melee despite being in the middle of crowds. Its fun to be in the thick of things with oculus. You can also dodge range ballistas if you teleport spam enough. Which makes the game much more enjoyable for me. Its a playstyle i cant explain unless you really have played an oculus build before. You get into the groove of teleport spamming around and it becomes an advantage.
Oculus is also a controller build i would say. Scrolling wheel oculus isn’t the same. Controller gives you a lot more precise control of your positioning. Controller does lack teleport distance and skill-shot potential but for what it lacks it has superior kiting while actively spamming.
