Goblin Event does not count towards Feat of Strength

I was hoping this would help us progress our feat of strength which requires slaying 666,666 goblins. I noticed I had killed 73 and found 2 goblins out in the field and afterwards saw that my achievement tracker was still at 73. Shouldn’t this event help us toward this astronomical goal?

Same issue here. TBH I think whole event seems to be bugged, I was in heltide and 1 half had dozens of goblins and the other half 0.
But yea none of them counts towards the feat (and we dont know if it counts anywhere alse).
But the feat achievement does count goblins created by Realm Walker and will register those kills. Will not however count goblins inside Seething Realm.

I suspect what is going on is that regular goblins have their own monster ID while event goblins were given another. This would explain why during the last event with goblins that goblins spawned from the Greed shrines could drop treasure bags but the regular ones, including those in the dungeon and cellar 3-packs could not. If this is the case, it would then appear that the feat of strength is counting only the original monster ID for non-event goblins and was not updated to also include the event monster IDs (as such, nobody is ever going to claim this feat of strength).

This kind of fits with the explanation I just posited.

the goblins inside realm walker/seething realm aren’t called treasure goblins, but seething goblins.

Oh sup technical debt?!

You mean the devs who coded the achievement aren’t the same ones who coded an event that spawns goblins?

Blizzard incompetence on full display this holiday season.

Make sure the check out the shop. You better believe they have very thoroughly documented all technical aspects to ensure that the cash machine never goes down due to technical debt.

Thought this was the time to grind towards the ridiculous 6,666,666, but it seems not. Not only do they not count towards this, but I was expecting goblins EVERYWHERE and that’s not the case. Unless they have another Goblin World event with thousands of goblins everywhere, or they make this a community FoS, I just don’t see it happening.

What, are you expecting to live multiple lifetimes to grind toward that 6,666,666? lol

I mean yeah, it should count toward it, but even with increased goblin spawns it’d take an eternity.

Not an eternity. So far I had this season average 5 gobs per day (350 gobs killed before event started). So to get to 6.666.666 gobs with 5/day will only take about 3650 years.
Not an eternity.

That goblin achievement is just like paragon 300: they don’t expect people to complete it, but they want people to stay logged in and try… cuz it’s easier than creating engaging content.

It has in the past. 2 times I believe. And the entire game was taken down for them to fix it.

Meanwhile, when there are actual gameplay bugs, they dont care. It might get pushed in the next update, or it might not.

BUT GOD FORBID IF THAT SHOP IS DOWN
