Not sure if this is intentional or not but tested out if you have to be the one to kill goblin for event progression and came up with the conclusion that the achievement gains progression no matter who kills the goblin but for event progression you personally need to kill the goblin, does not matter if said person is in your party or not the first person to kill it gets the progression toward event. this does not seem as if this is how this should work. as it only took me about 2 hours to do the event on my druid where others are reporting taking forever for progress.
Any word on this? I cannot progress rep on this though I have been in on killing many goblins…
Yes I can confirm the “bug” even in a group only the person landing the killing blow gets the rep. My wife and I play grouped and we noticed this and tested it yesterday
Unfortunately, there hasn’t been any word on an update to this. Sadly, it doesn’t make me want to play atm either as I don’t want to be the one hurting people’s progression in an already hard to progress event. seems like most people are going to miss out on clearing the event. I feel as if Blizzard should extend the event, but I have strong doubts that they would do that
jep… this “event” is a solo event for fast rep. in group it doesnt work. played with my husband yesterday in group - what a mess. played solo now - all rep done in 2h
Sadly I don’t think they will be doing anything to fix this problem as here we are almost a work week into the event and nothing is being said as far as a hot fix or anything good luck hopefully they do fix it but i wont hold my breath at this point
they have done something
On Xbox, Goblins don’t drop the treasure bags except for the murmuring obols treasure bag. Can hardly find goblins in the open world.
goblins dont drop a bag every kill… it scales with the rep level. more rep level increases chance of bags
“Keep in mind that as you slay through the ranks, the chance for Treasure Bags to drop from the Treasure Goblins increase as well.”
