Has there been any indication that they are working on the glyph podium bug in NM dungs? I’m so tired of burning my time and energy into a sigil only to not get any glyph XP at the end. And it gets REALLY frustrating when it happens 3/4/5 times in a row. And then I get one and then 3/4/5 times in a row get nothing. I’m to a point where glyphs are taking precedence in my priority list. And feeling like I’m not making any progress on them for days on end is starting to make me not want to play. And that’s the sad part … I REALLY want to play.
EDIT: Lots of comments about party play. I do not play in a party. So this is not what is happening.
Edit: At the moment it seems to be happening consistently with barrage. My current fix is to use rapid fire for more likelihood of podium spawning.
Edit: It also seems that as long as you don’t kill the boss with barrage the bug doesn’t happen much. I’ve taken to spending a few extra seconds near the end of the fight to MAKE SURE I don’t kill it will barrage. This works a huge majority of the time.
Edit: Fine I’ll cave to the people to lazy to google and spend 15 seconds finding a video within the first 5 results … Mainly because this bug needs more visibility and apparently people need proof like it’s a court of law.
There are like a thousand bug reports on it. No need to add another one. I was just asking if anyone had heard anything from the devs about it. And to vent some … that’s why I’m in GD and not Bug reports.
Are you playing a Barrage rogue? It seems exceptionally common with Barrage for some reason. It never happens when I play druid (pulv/tornado) and quite rarely but still every now and then on TB Rogue. With Barrage it can easily be half of the time.
Yes I’m running a Traps/Grenades/Lucky Hit Build with Barrage ( I tried Rapid fire but It just does not work as well).
I guess that’s why they aren’t really pushing hard to fix this. If it’s mostly relegated to 1 skill (and an underused skill at that) then they have bigger fish to fry. But MAN that SUCKS! Thanks for the heads up.
I thought this happened to me earlier, but it didn’t and I’ve never actually had it happen in a NM dungeon so lemme give you a scenario.
You just finished a NM dungeon. This one worked. You upgraded your glyph. You’re ready to run another one. You pop your sigil, the loading screen plays and you find yourself ouutside of a dungeon.
You click the dungeon and run it, assuming it is the nightmare dungeon. It is not. It put you outside of the dungeon you just ran and the princess is in another castle.
You need to open your map and click on the nightmare dungeon you activated to teleport to that one. I have NEVER seen the “glyph upgrader” not spawn in a nightmare dungeon.
when im in a group, we kill the last thing in the nightmare dungeon sometimes the podium spawns in a weird part of the dungeon (aka not under the dome). This has happened a few times, you have to ‘search’ the map for it and sometimes its only 1 or 2 rooms away and sometimes its at the enterance area…

They only added in teleport yesterday and this has been a bug since launch (numerous reports on it)
Since teleport has become available it is the ONLY way I go to a dung now.
The red effect on the dung entrance is indication that it is definitely a NM dung
I would concede that this may be a possibility if it was a one-off occurrence here and there. But the opposite seems to be true. It’s a one-off that I actually get the podium.
There are apparently a lot of people who have never had this happen to them. But there are a whole that that have.
The dome itself does not spawn.
I actually had the though that it spawned in the wrong spot after the first few occurrences. I have searched a few times through the whole dungeon for it.
I can assure you this is not the case because some of the time you still get the two reward items and the exp bonus but without the glyph upgrade altar/invuln bubble.
(And yes, I have spent the time to search the entire level for it a few times to make sure it didn’t just spawn in some dumb place like the entrance)
This happens if the party leader (even solo) is under level 50. It is very easy to reproduce. Run any key with a leader under 50, you wont get a podium.
yeah it doesnt even do that little white animated thing on maps like the special rare elites, it sometimes blends into the map room too… it should be a giant size neon glowing pole! I’m getting old and its harder to see things
