Global launch is always midnight for EU

This is such a bad timing. Why is it always midnight for EU?

If it was moved 6 hours earlier then it would be perfect for NA and EU at the same time. It would be 18:00 CEST that is 09:00 Pacific and 12:00 Eastern for USA.

A lot of company realised this and release the games 6-7 PM for EU. Maybe would not be bad to think about it moving forward.

There’s your culprit, chief. Americans would resent being at work for several hours during launch, and Blizzard answers to American dollars. Just as 1800 would’ve been perfect for you… it happens to be perfect for Americans.

East coast that is. West coasters have to put up with 3 hours earlier, which is a bit ironic.

Then it would be 4am here in Australia no thanks, it’s never going to be perfect no matter what time they make it.

That would be 4am Australia and 1am China regions. Good right?

I’m happy enough with it being 10am Aussie time.

Aus has never been a big gaming continent. in fact it is one of the worst place to live if you are an online gamer.

10am for Australia

This shows exactly how ignorant and foolish you are, gaming is big here. Our population is not.

Way to know things about the world /golf clap.

Try to queue up to games like dota lol cs etc there is like 20 people playing the entire region and same people in every game. It should not be prioritized over EU who has millions of gamers.

Other than that my timing would be like 6AM for Sydney by the way.

Ok so maths or clock’s isn’t your strong suit either, it would be 4am in Sydney if you minus 6 hours.

Aussies never que in our region internet is fast :upside_down_face::upside_down_face::upside_down_face:

Still better than midnight release. You can just wake up at 6 am and play entire day.

Nobody is takling about internet speeds. By queue up I mean matchmaking games. There is long time until you are placed in games because not many players to be found in the region. You guys are arguing about something you know I’m right about.

The season is 3 months long. There is no leaderboard. Just enjoy your night of sleep + your day at work and play the next day. The game isn’t going anywhere.

Blizzard is the only company releases game this time. Almost every new game drops at 6-7 PM for EU. They know it is the best time to do so.

On top of that 9-10 AM Pacific would be good for Blizzard because they have entire day to fix login issues but they instead launch the game leave office 2 hours in and then players have issues until the next day. This is the way to go.

Then we have missed 2 hours at the start getting up at 6. No thanks.

This is the dumbest take ever. Blizzard answrs to money not american dollars. I pay for the game in USD too yet I’m from EU. What is wrong with noon launch? Then move it by 1 hour and it would be 1 PM. No big deal. EU midnight to 1 am launch is killer to the entire region. Moving it early to USA would actually benefit them.

and now read the post again carefully and then think… :brain:

CEST: June 21, 2024 at 1:00 a.m. Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC

12 am, August 30 CEST (Paris) Star Wars Outlaws

just to name 2 big releases… the list of games coming at similar times is long…

a bit much for Blizzard being the only ones doing it, isn’t it?

that’s all nonsense what you write…

These are all offline games. This does not really mean anything when you start playing them. You intentionally just cherry picked the 2 that was launched late for EU and ignored almost everything else that was not.

Why GGG a company which is one ofthe best in the online space right now can launch the leauges for PoE around 8-9 PM for EU? They are based in New Zealand and that is literally like 6 AM for them. SMH…

because D4 is known that it is so incredibly important to play in a group…, who doesn’t know them…all the dungeons and raids that only work in a group…

if you’re 6 hours late… you can quit right away…, :face_with_peeking_eye: :person_facepalming:

Well, it was a bit tongue in cheek - but no, not “dumbest”. The point wasn’t the denomination ofc, but the importance of the player base to Blizzard’s bottom line. EU plays 2nd fiddle to US, in Blizzard’s prioritization, for a few reasons - not sure it’s worth elaborating here. Luckily, this one is a short competition, since “release day” happens exactly one time, and then people move on from their suffering.
