Note: This would only work at the Last Season of an Expansion, assuming the Item Level / Gear is going to jump, making the last Season / Expansion Gear obsolete.
Season 1 Style Bugger Inserts
- Create a Bugger System that allows a player to remove (1) Affix from a Non-Unique piece of Gear, creating a Bugger of said Affix.
- Create a Transmute System that allows you to craft a piece of ‘Blank’ Gear, using Mats from normal Unique Gear.
- Once you have created a Blank Gear Item, you can insert up to (3) Bugger Affixes. Hell, let them stack.
The point is you could never do this in game, without resetting the Gear Bar the very next Season.
Not only would you have the Hype of the Upcoming New Expansion, but also a fan base Hype (much like the player return boom when you could create Uber Unique Items by spamming Iron Wolfs Reputation) just prior to the Expansion from being able to craft EXACTLY the Item you want. In every slot. Make them hard to obtain and per Account, so even Rob can’t abuse the System.
Like I said, I see this only working at the end of an Expansion, mostly for Marketing Purposes to generate sales for the Upcoming Expansion and Cosmetic Items.
Whats the point of even playing an arpg then? Ill minds as well go play D3 again for 4 hours a season.
