Give people Veteran Characters, Instead of /reroll Every Season. Please

I mentioned this briefly in another thread. But the idea of a Veteran character seems exciting for a few reasons, Main characters give people a reason to stick with them not because its just some class we feel needs replacing, but because we love our characters, rerolling every season dismisses this. Why not instead of having us make a new character every season, we can keep our ability’s and characters, but give us Veteran buffs that reflect the work we accomplished in the previous season. Buffs could include EXP boosts to previous season characters, stat increases, more potions to slots for elixirs, you see where i am going here? Before i played world of warcraft, i played EverQuest, while they do have a type of veteran perks for flagged veteran characters.

I do think it would be a worthwhile system here. I had 987 Days of in game played time on my main in EQ. Alts i get, but don’t take away our characters we work on every season just to say oh its a new season. thanks!

Edit: Let me add even if our S1 characters start at level 1 again, that’s fine to, But give them a veteran buff at least for the previous season, that would work too.

I could support this with a small bonus. Say you got a character to level 100 in the previous season. In the new season you could make a veteran character like you say. This character would earn 5% more xp. It has to be something that isnt permanent. More potions and stats or whatnots would not be good as that is a feel bad for new ppl to have a permanent loss .

No thank you. Seasons should be clean slated (apart from the stupid ideas like renown and altars).

How would that even be implemented. Does every season give a bonus? So there is unlimited power creep and disparity between people or do you only get the bonus of the last season, so people that skip seasons are equally behind.

At the start of a season everyone needs to start with the same conditions. Everything else does not work.

Yup. Seasons have to be a fresh start.
But I’d like to reborn my character like in D3.
