Gigabyte 3080 ti bricked

Hi there last night I was playing diablo 4 when my screens went black and no more input from the gigabyte 3080ti. Swapped out the card today for an older 1. System runs fine. Put in the gigabyte again and no signal. Its insane a game can ruin such an expensive card. While also being the manufacturers fault.

I played

Full screen
150 frames ingame capped
30 frames menu capped

Graphics ultra.

Gsync on

The Blizzard team has posted a message in the thread, and it offers advice for those affected:

"If your card is still not working, try these troubleshooting steps:

  • Conduct a complete power cycle (AC OFF->AC ON) and see if GPU can be detected under Windows.
  • If GPU can be found under Windows, do a clean driver install.
  • If that doesn’t work, please reply and include the following information or logs:
  1. GPU card vendor and model number
  2. Display resolution when running Diablo IV
  3. Display mode (Windowed/Windowed Fullscreen/Fullscreen)
  4. Max Foreground FPS, Max Background FPS
  5. Diablo IV graphic quality settings, preset with Low/Medium/High. Or more detail with custom settings."

My Gigabyte 3080 ti card got bricked during the server slam yesterday, but I played through the earlier betas with no issues. It bricked just walking around in the open world. It didn’t happen during a cutscene. So I hope blizzard can lock down the issue and prevent it, or that my RMA’d card gets repaired so that this doesn’t happen again.
