Get rid of DPS meter

No more complaint. No more “nerfed that class” because my class DPS is pathetic. Why? Because the last time we ask for a buff, we get a nerfed instead. So, I really don’t cared about DPS meter. I play this game to have fun and to find gear. DPS maximalist should go back to Lost Ark or other MMO. Also, as a veteran of many mmos, DPS meter make people toxic to the point that it makes you want to delete your character because it’s a F tier and get gatekeep like a plague. Please delete the DPS meter and instead work on giving us more content and fix bugs.

Nothing can be as toxic as what happened when Gear Score became all the rage in WoW.

“Running instance X that drops 200 Gear Score items. Must have a Gear Score of 500 PST!!!”

There is no DPS meter, other than watching people kill stuff faster than yourself.

The only moment I would need a Dps meter is to prepare myself for a timed event such as world Boss, haven’t used any for Diablo 4, is that even a thing yet ? 3rd party ?

Either ways, Diablo shouldn’t be that type of game. You either crush trough a dungeon or you fail, resurrect and keep going…

I think I would be kinda fun to have one. Gives a directly measurable number.

Casuals get terrified of the big bad damage meters, would have loved one on the boss.

Guys, there’s a simple rule that people should follow

Don’t talk about things you don’t want to see them happen, simple as that, ESPECIALLY when there aren’t

Over-reactions like this empower counter-reactions which in turn lead devs/listeners to false conclusions that a topic is more relevant than it is

Try follow that one, don’t, repeat, DO NOT, talk about things you don’t wanna see them happen, now GL

Idk shaming people for raid logs in WoW seems pretty damn toxic.

All in all people will find any way or excuse to blame other people for their own failures in WoW whether it’s gear score, raid logs, meters etc…

They’re already bringing that mentality here by finding any excuse for why they can’t kill Ashava… their latest excuse is sub 20 players.

I wish, the game would be so much better.
In a game like diablo how could it possibly be a bad idea.

I say they add a dps meter it would be better if blizzard made it in game and and you could allow or not allow others to see your numbers most people play Diablo play this game solo or a small group of friends I don’t see the dps meter doing any real harm especially if your playing casual.

I wish there was a DPS meter.

Would love to see how much I outclass my buddies in that regard.

Dps meters are only tools, and they are meant to optimize parties and their performances. This is how all online platform gaming is. Perhaps you should work no your gear, build and parses prior to complaint about a dps meter. As if you’re not doing well on a dps meter, is not the meters fault, it’s yours. That fault being not properly being built, optimized or knowing how to properly play your class.

Oooff them were dark times during that. I remember how petty it got down to a single point or 2 for gear score req and shunned away like a fart in the breeze.

incorrect. This is not how “all platform gaming is”. Thats how one game works. World of Warcraft.

There is no meters (officially) in FFXIV, Destiny, D2, D3, Runescape (last i checked)…

Is there any in Lost Arc? or New World? I dont play those so im asking.

If you wanna play wow just go play wow lol

DPS Meters cause nothing but blandness to your game. They end up balancing everything perfectly so it matches within 1%. Every class, spec, and then the game becomes watered down and boring because nobody can be bad, and nobody can be too good.

DPS meters are garbage. I play and build my character very well thankyou. Exactly why I dont want a DPS meter. I dont want my build to get nerfed by morons copying what im doing.

As an avid ffiv player I can tell you with confidence that you are incorrect. There is no built in dps meter however all high-end raiding guilds require it installed as an addon. I know my guild will not let anyone raid unless they have the addon installed and submit six months of proper parses and perform a tryout.

LOL so you literally just answered it yourself. You use a third party addon that they could easily ban you for on the spot. Oh, and they do ban you for it if you bring it up and crap on people for bad DPS

Just stop typing. Seriously.
