Generator skills are stupid

PoE endgame pots were not for life or mana. They were mandatory buffs. You had MAJOR buffs to defense resists move speed and all kinds of things you got from those pots.

yeah, and you can just automate them

On pc. Not on console.

D3 player I take it… D3 was an arcade Damage Simulator you ran races in. Power creep with no end. one button masher

D4 is an ARPG. You actualy have to hit more than one button.

Havent most classes found builds that almost never use their generator anymore? Atleast on non-bosses. Between umbral, lucky hit, amd paragon board you can get alot of resources back.

uhh i’m pretty sure instilling orbs work just the same on PC and console versions
However, I’m not too familiar with console version

My Barb is rarely out at this point.

Must not of played d3 much. Because at endgame every build in d3 was the same thing pretty much. Hold down ALL buttons no mashing anything. Gave me hand cramps on controller last time i played any amount of time on it.

I use chain lightning non-stop above 100 mana. I needed mana on my helm and 1 ring, umbral aspect, frost bolt passive. I have lucky hit chance for resource on source. If I decide to level 95-100 before season I would be taking mana on paragon board on the way to a final glyph. Maybe could drop mana on ring for something else. Prodigy can boost me up to full mana with 5 cooldowns.
I don’t know about all the builds out there but I didn’t mind using arc lash when I could only cast 3-4x chain lightning and be OOM.

On console each pot has a seperate button. You have them on the directional pad so you pretty much did Liu kangs animality move every cooldown to use all the pots.

Consoles didn’t get instilling orbs? that was their main purpose to prevent players to become ā€œpotion pianistsā€

Not that i know of. Is that a new thing? Been quite awhile since I played. Think that rob the vaults season was the last one i played like over a year ago.

they’ve been in game for like 2-3 leagues? Anyways you can just google instilling orb if you like to have a closer look. They simply ā€œadd an enchantment to a utility flask that will cause it to be used when certain conditions are met.ā€

Yeah was definitely not in the game when I played last.

Well it’s not like it can get much worse as is, might as well.

Why not just make it so that the skills DO interact with each other? It would go a long way for solving one of the major issues I have with this game.

Builder + Spender gameplay feels fine early on but once you get into real ACTION it just feels like an artificial hinderance.

Most builds end up getting enough cooldown/resource bonuses to pretty much bypass the basic generator skills and then it just feels like a wasted flawed concept in my eyes.

I like the idea of generating resource via cooldowns, procs etc and that’s good but the basic skills specifically feel really lackluster in the end.

Seeing how they gave 1 more resource for each builder in a prior patch and it changed 100% nothing.

Oh boy 1 less builder needed for every 30 uses of my spender, game changer. /s

All Basic Skills should kill basic monsters, like fallen, worgs, etc, in one or two hits just like they do at level 5. That would make the resource building much more meaningful such as powering up on the little guys and then unload the big guns on the bigger guys and elites.

Also, your big guns (Core Skills) should destroy groups of basic mobs in one cast. This 6 casts of Chain Lightning required just to kill a group of little Fallen imps BS is just not fun-- Oops, I means, 3-4 casts of Chain Lightning, out of mana, pew pew with nothing happening with a basic skill for a while, and THEN finish them off with 2 more casts of Chain Lightning… yeah, even less fun.

Just wait until D5 hits and they make us twerk to get resources.
