I salvage a bunch of Grand Gems and none of the fragments went back to my inventory.
I also had full Grand gems, and after salvaging them I got zero of the fragments even though it clearly showed on screen I got the full amount back.

This just happened to me on PC. Salvaged a few Royal gems and then went back to create one, I noticed I didn’t have the gem fragments anymore.
This happened to me as well
