Farming enough gems to craft Royals in all your slots is neigh impossible and buying them in trade chat just returns riddiculous prices. People want 20 million for 1 Royal gem. That’s not even an unreasonable price considering how inaccessible the gems are. Surprised there isn’t more noise about this on the forums. Apparently the optimal gameplay loop to farm gem fragments is to do a one room dungeon on repeat 100,000 times. Please don’t make us play this gameplay loop. Its fine if the drop rates are low to stimulate a trading economy but that’s not really happening either with that 20 million price tag. The gems are too freaking rare.

It seems like this at the first but then you get enuf by playing. It doesnt need a change yet but it was close to needing one.
When you are playing on Hardcore you don’t go blasting any runs that will drop them in significant quantities. You play things slower and safer. It needs a fix.
I don’t have any problems with jewelry, just save money without taking it. If you need any, I’ll give it to you. In NM 100 there’s a lot of material.
Hardcore wasnt in your title.

Royal gems are around a dollar fiddy, seems high but in game you you only have to get royals once, then your fat with them and dont care.
Personally I think the gem dust drop rate this season was just about perfect.
In previous season you pretty much instantly had all your gems, enough for a couple alts in fact. If i look on Eternal I have about 50+k of all gems dust and every character from seasons have all royals. They are just about worthless in prior seasons.
This season you’d get them after a while. But once you get them you have them (unless hardcore).
I played about 130 hrs this season and got all royal gems for two characters. Just solo play and no grouping. It was good progression.
I think for very casual players I can see this, but the 2nd best gem is pretty easy to achieve. I like that there is something that takes a little bit more time and effort. I personally think gems are ok. Felt similar to maximizing the legendary aspects. Slowly get mini-upgrades that feel good.
