So, two days into the patch I had hope… but it’s just so fubar’d and unbalanced and friggin’ weird to play this game that I am ready to take my $100 lump and move on. I’m old school diablo and this game has reminded me why I quit D3. The run around and pray you don’t get the wrong line-up of freeze, terror, or any other crowd control that will totally remove you from the fight is exactly the same… and for the same shallow rewards that are supposed to motivate you to charge into groups that render you impoetent.
No thanks. Even after the patch, this is a one-loadout game. If you don’t have the right drops, you can waste hours trying to farm them.
Off to greener pastures.

My charged bolt sorc has been broken this entire time. Aspect for it makes charged bolt cost more. Unreal how long this fix is taking. There are so many examples like this. You cant play the way you want if it is broken.
I’m in agreement, I wanted to love this game so much and I’m still just disappointed in it really. For an item finding game - I rarely find anything that’s an upgrade to what I’m already using. The fact the story is basically over around level 50 is a bummer too. I don’t care for the NM Dungeons, The Tree, or the level scaling either. You never feel as if you are gaining any power and some of the monsters are a guaranteed RIP making HC basically a non playable mode for me ( And I only played HC in D2 and D3 ). The fact that they added a GEM that will not even transfer to Eternal Realm and makes all builds viable and ignores all the others gems just dont make sense. Overall I’m depressed the game is in the state it is in currently and hoping 3-4 seasons from now it becomes enjoyable.
The bizarre thing is it looks like this is being done on purpose from what people have reported and tested. The only way to get a decent chance to get upgraded gear is to not wear your gear at all so the game doesn’t know what affixes you are using.
It is just… beyond words.
That sucks… chain lightning, on the other hand, is pretty busted now. This really does feel like another D3 experience where they will gradually improve the game over time, after they have missed the initial hype of being a main stream game. Oh well…
The weird thing is…
Necro. They totally f’d minions, but the necro is a great sort of shadow mage.
Sorc. Totally f’d. You look at the synergy and thought that went into necro’s kit and it’s amazing - with the exception of minions. Sorc has no synergy. It’s like they literally released an unfinished class. Meaningful affixes, hearts, or aspects? Nothing compared to necro.
And their big fix for sorc went into the last patch…
