Gear progression/Greater Affix Items/Crafting/EndGame Loop

-Droprates of Greater Affix Items are way to low, even lower for greater affix items with desired affixes, Skill Rank Affix Items rarely drop with desired Skill Rank and are even less likely to drop in general.
-Enchanting still is way too expensive
-Helltide being thee Spot to farm Items gets old fast and burns one out especially when rarely finding upgrades.(with profane mindcage)
-The tempering System is a frustrating process especially with above mentioned problems.
-Can´t talk about Masterworking yet as i still wait to get an item worth masterworking but as i know resetting costs 5 mio Gold so this makes it a no no fun.
-Shop Cosmetics still are way to Expensive
-Worldbossfights now are a oneshot/max 10sec encounter without gameplay just mindless nuke

  • The only positive point i can aggree too is the faster leveling process.
    Conclusion Gearprogression still feels bad at least for me for the last 4 days after i hit lvl 100.

Edit: Gearprogression is heavily RNG dependent there is not one single mechanic in this game which allows you to get what you want, it´s roll and pray.
-Greater affix drops and rolls=RNG
-Tempering=RNG
-Enchanting=RNG
-Purveyor Curiosities=RNG
-Masterworking=RNG

with every layer of Itemization being rng in combination with high costs for enchanting and masterworking aswell the limited granted rolls for tempering this whole system is set up for frustration. Burn out will kick in fast because endgame activities are dull and repetitive. Repetitive wouldn´t be so problematic if it wasn´t so dull.
-Helltide=best way for leveling up and farming gear.
-The Pit=the only way to aquire craftingmaterials for masterworking which gets tedious fast
-Nightmare Dungeons=no purpose except for farmig glyph XP
-Uber Bosses/Tormented= Can´t say anything about that because im afraid my gearstats are to low for that.

Blizzard may have done a step in the right direction but the flaws of this heavily rng dependent progression system casts a dark shadow on D4 imo. I think they still need to find the sweetspot in this department aswell in gameplay loop quality to achieve long term motivation for people to play that game regularly.

Enchanting cost is terrible I am at 6m on weapon roll. The gold farm is so bad even if you play 12 hours a day.

GA items are really rare, best way is to farm helltides which gets old fast.

Considering it took you a month to reach 100 you played like 15 hours… You can hardly expect to get top items for free.

Gear progression almost feels worse after playing a lot, get a 3 GA item and no excitement because now I need to temper, then if temper works out I got to reroll the same affix on my masterworking at rank 4 10 times in a row, still haven’t gotten a maxed piece so dunno that feeling yet lol
