Gear capping at 80?

Is there…literally ANY gear above 80 that’s supposed to drop? I’m 91 right now as a Barb on Seasonal, but nothing goes above 80. I know there was a problem on release where gear seemed to cap at 70/75, but I can’t believe there’s simply nothing above 80 even now.
I don’t know how it’ll even be possible to take down Uber Lilith when I’m not allowed gear that isn’t woefully underleveled without resorting to some form of cheese.

It is the item power that you want to look at, not the level of requirement.
Even if you do beat uber Lilith, she only drops 2 items. Both will be 80 level requirement to wear, but item power at 925.

Level is just minimum level to use. Item level is actual power.

I believe prior to season one, gears dropped where same level around player’s level. However, with season 2, D4 updated where gears capped at 80 level requirements, but item levels can go up to 925 cap.

Oh lord, I just realized I have several items with a base 925 ilevel.
I really am at the gear cap for some items, ohhhhhhh lovely.

Now just find your ubers and the right affixes on the yellows. Welcome to the err…end game? (Loot reading and stash management!!!)

Speaking of item power, it actually means nothing other than for weapons.
For weapon, you always want to use item power 925, because of base damage.
For other gears, affixes and roll on affixes are more important than 925.
Of course, you dont want to use 600 and 700 items. But anything above 850 can be a good pick with right roll and right affixes.

the lvl u refer is useless it doesnt increase the power
theoreticly a lvl 1 item can be stronger than a lvl 80 one

they should make uber uniques require level 1  I do have a level 71 shako which is pretty sweet (my rogue was 71 when it dropped), I was hoping to score it before 60 so i could get the level requirement down to 60 but 71 is still better than 80.

For anyone still confused about upgrades you should research item tiers a bit. Long story short for most things that aren’t weapons item power over 780 is irrelevant unless you’re still trying to reach armor or resistance caps.

This is incorrect.

Item Power determines stat ranges on some affixes like Thorns, which scales directly with IP (as does the base Armor on gear) and certain legendary aspects also have the range of their effects determined by IP.

If an item has everything you want on it but the IP is lower than you’d like that’s mostly fine (assuming it’s not a weapon) but everyone should strive to get 925 gear, especially if you want any hope of tackling the AoZ where it’s estimated that you will need at least 15k armor to survive, and that is a tall order.

Stack armor on 1/4 slots on at least three items and then aspect of disobedience should do it. Careful if you are following guides. you have to sacrifice power to build armor and DR. Sometimes build recommendations are shortsighted or the implementer is sweaty or something… I saw a recommendation for my build to drop aspect of disobedience for armor on boots and that got my build liquified in NM100 so…

EDIT: To clarify I am a druid with armor in paragon in slot on gear and a 54% aspect of disobedience on helm. I at one point (and shortsightedly removed) disobedience on my amulet that went up to 90%

5k duriel runs on hot mats plus Doom, GF, Shako, Selig is way better than running armor slots and disobedience. :grinning: I am joking, somewhat. No GF in sight, or shako…or well…you know…anywhere near 5k runs.

An IL 900+ with 3/4 in slot that you can enchant final affix and then hit with build specific top rolled aspect is both more powerful and a funner chase than an uber IMO

jfc are people really this clueless?
