Gear and Progress Theft!

I have been a loyal player of nearly every game released by blizzard. I have over 1000 hours on D3 and even more on wow. I have played d4 every single day since its release. I have preordered nearly every game and expansion for YEARS. After all that you give us d4 with the most stingy mythic drop rate of any modern game by far. I played everday for hours since the release, FOUR seasons without getting a single mythic to drop! But i didnt complain, i understand the value of making something rare and giving players that huge payoff feeling for all their hard work when they finally get one. Then we get season five, when you finally correct that unreal drop rate. I worked my but off and took time away from my real life because i was determined to get those elusive mythics and a toon with top end gear. 2 days before the ptr release, i finally got my missing pieces and as you can expect i was over the moon. Still hadnt spent the billions of gold nessecary to max the stupid MW system but thats another topic. But finally after five seasons, i was a top tier toon. Then i download the ptr and within 30 seconds i find out that you rocket scientists are throwing all of my hard work and progress out the window like it was nothing. Everything i worked so hard for is now meaningless? Its literally stealing all the value of those items from me. Which is just unbelieveable after you went to soooo much trouble to increase the value of getting a drop in the first place. I want to cancel my preorder and delete your damn game over this. I truly hope that someone with an active braincell over there realizes how many players you guys are alienating with this stupid crap. I cant speak for everyone but i know im not alone. Maybe you guys have forgotten the value that YOU created for those drops because none of you have to actually work to get them like we do. I know losing one player is meaningless in the big corp model but i can gaurentee that i wont be the only one to go if the expansion releases with this piss poor idea enacted. Please come to your damn senses and dont screw your loyal players like this. It ultimately wont even matter since each new season requires a brand new character (another dumb idea by the way) so whats the harm in letting us keep what we worked so hard for?

i mean they made your gear crap multiple times since launch, ip increase, affix rework, etc…, mythics aren’t that hard to get though, unless looking for ga ones not sure s6 drop rates but runes make crafting easier at least.

i def do feel juked a bit though every season they make these item changes, got to just hope they’ve actually finalized some crap for the 1 year expansion threshold

Well, don’t… You’re the reason they can produce crap if you just swallow everything up blindly and buy everything they throw at you.

One’s luck will vary. I have three Mythics, And the only way i could get them is grinding what seemed like endless days Iron Wolfs rep. None of the three Mythics have GA.

I agree, Blizzard needs to drop more paragraphs for the players to loot, it seems very scarce.

At the end of season it all goes to the eternal realm dumpster anyway. Can’t take it with you into the new season.

he is right in point. and season is only half the game. not only they make the gear worthless they make us level already leveled eternal hereos more. again.

yeah the 3 straight seasons of itemization updates has been rough for yall. hopefully season 6 itemization is stable for a while. we’ll have to see what adjustments blizzard makes because people on ptr were doing billions of damage even after stat squish. So itemization doesnt seem to be stable for now.

You were able to get how many by just playing the season? Not to speak of all the mythics we were able to make into sparks. Everyone who hasn’t at least 3 mythis has a problem that sits between the char and the screen.

Sorry OP - They dont care. People have been making post after post after post about this. and crickets. THEY DONT CARE . They will put out this craptastic season 6 and all you’ll read is articles on how VOH smashed sales records.

This team lost the ability to make a truly great ARPG after Diablo 2. No heart, no passion, no substance. Just cut and paste mobile game designed to extract as many dollars from people as long as possible until the lose interest / move on .

I get that certain aspects of D4 might not meet everyone’s expectations, but calling the game crap feels like an overstatement. The art design and responsiveness alone set such a high standard that it’s even hard to find another game to play while waiting for S6 to come out.

Lmao. I’m a casual that works 6 days a week and I actually loathe how easy the Mythics are to get. I wish they were harder to get than they are…

How many hours did it take you to get a mythic?

f seasonal. i only play it for the pass rewards and because more people are there. well and if a new season power gets me excited for a build to make, but i think the last two seasons opened my eyes with that a bit.

There are people who can not put in the time to grind for sparks, They can’t kill tormented bosses because they don’t have the gear to support doing that. They don’t pay someone to kill the bosses for them, Then get on these forums and brag and put down other people.
Alot of people who play this game run solo. But you are right about one thing, The problem with gaming does seem to be between the chair and the screen.

I don’t have exact numbers of hours but I had 2 ubers by day 6 from tormented Zir. I was level 86 I think.

Last season it took me 20h and I’m by far no good player. let’s say it takes 40h or 100h… if you can’t put 100h into a grindfest game in a 3 months window then again the problem is between the chair and the screen because you want to make a game work that is obviously not tailored to you needs the slightest.

It’s possible and easy to and as soon as you have mats for plenty of tries aka doing the season objectives you can put in 10-20 trys or get your behined carried through it. Sure if the person who playes the game is a solo warrior and don’t want to engage in groups while being not good enough to manage what the game is throwing at them and then crys about it we are back in the “You problem.” terretory.

What is the solution to this? Making stuff easier so bosses that die in 10 seconds die with one hit if they are faced by people who know what they do? From my point of view and what i would do as a dev and publisher of a game is to have “Casual Mode” servers for people with little time that are easier and drop more stuff but I’m not that eager to milk the last cent out of players so I’ll never be in charge of a PC/Console game at any point in time.

All i can say for now is the following. I think I’m a person who understand what he does with very little skill. I try my best to come up with a build and when I understand it I look for guides and if I did something wrong or if I could do something better. That’s not a hard thing to do in games as easy as D4 and if I could do it while I’m not the brightest candle on the cake everyone else should be able to. Takes 30 minutes.
