I’m able to get the game to load up and create a character and view the opening cinematic. After that, the game goes to a white screen and won’t load. I closed out, reloaded and tried to enter a game from the character selection screen and it puts me in an infinite loading screen - still playing music/bottom right object still spins, just never loads.

There are a few things we can try to see what’s causing the game to just not launch.
- We’ve found that Razer Chroma & Synapse features have been conflicting with our games. We’re going to want to try updating Synapse 3 to install the most recent version of Chroma SDK, and then remove all Razer software if the game continues to have problems
- Bit Defender has been causing strange issues with a few games including Diablo 4. Try creating a firewall exclusion/exception for Battle.net and the game. Also updating/uninstalling can help if the exclusion/exception doesn’t help.
- Check to make sure you meet minimum requirements: Blizzard Support - Diablo® IV System Requirements
- Update drivers and Windows: Blizzard Support - Updating Your Drivers and Operating System
- Try uninstalling and reinstalling the Server Slam files.
If any of these work please come back and let us know which step did the ticket. We greatly appreciate it!
Appreciate the help!
- I use a razor mouse and keyboard, but i looked on my programs and I don’t see anything with Razer in my programs/apps (much less the Chroma/Synapse features). Is there anything that can be done with this?
- I don’t have this, I use mcafee and i turned off anti-virus and firewall and neither helped.
- I played the last 2 betas, so I don’t think this should be a problem.
- I checked the drivers and it’s telling me I have the most up-to-date drivers.
- I uninstalled and re-installed - tried again and still getting stuck at the same spot where it just won’t load.
Oh!
I turned graphics to low and was able to get in!!
I’m not sure what setting would have been stopping this as it was saying my GPU drivers were out of date, but when i went through device manager to update them, it told me I had the most up-to-date drivers.
This is the stupidity of modern game design. I prepurchase, waited a week to play, now I am, “Queued for game …,” For an hour at this point with several 10 minute countdowns. Stop forcing players online. If people want the option great, let them wait for a que. I don’t want to play or wait on other people. This is sickening, am I to wait an hour every time I wish to play? Stop making games that force solo people online I am teetering on asking for a refund and never looking back!
