Game won't launch after patch

I click play in the launcher, changes to launching for about 5 seconds and then nothing. I have gone through dozens of threads on here and reddit trying all the suggested solutions I could find.

PC Specs: Everything up to date.

|Processor|12th Gen Intel(R) Core™ i5-12600K 3.70 GHz|
|Installed RAM|32.0 GB (31.7 GB usable)|
|System type|64-bit operating system, x64-based processor|

Fixes I have tried:
Restarting Battle.net launcher
Restarting computer
Modifying dlstorage.dll to dlstorage.dll.bak
Disabled Antivirus ( Avast )
Change the “Adapter” value in the LocalPrefs.txt file from 0 > 1 … or from 1 > 0
Reinstalled Battle.net
Reinstalled Diablo 4
Scan and Repair
Added -disableds in additional command lines under game settings
Went to Locaprefs.txt and and edited DisableChromaEffects "1"
Went to command prompt and typed following
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /renew

Hello, same here ! I don’t know what to do to fix it

I reinstalled the game, battlenet and restarted my computer AGAIN. When the game became available to play, while still downloading, i tried to load it but i was getting corrupted file errors ( wasn’t even seeing this before ). Let it finish, scanned and repaired, now it’s working.

Same, it takes a long time to launch and then will freeze and not respond. Prior to the patch I had no issues but no it is unplayable. Need help getting going again!

I’ve tried several things to see if I could get the game to be playable and it still freezes. I’ve noticed it takes a long time for the screens to load. After selecting the character, it takes a long time with it sitting on a scenery screen with the icon in the lower right spinning and when it finally goes it freezes up and locks. This had started right after the patch was fully loaded

So we’re essentially having to uninstall D4, uninstall the battle.net launcher, and then reinstall everything? Just to get the game to launch??

I just finished the scan and repair, but it did not fix the issue. It sounds like the uninstall is the next leap of faith. Still don’t think we should have to do all the uninstall and install to get things working like it was prior to the patch

I haven’t tried all of the solutions listed in the OP but I have used scan and repair as well as reinstalling the game and my issue is the same. After clicking the Play button it transitions to Launching for about 10 seconds and then it goes back to Play without any feedback whatsoever.

Same issue here. Worked fine when I opened it the last time, suddenly when I press “play” it just goes to “starting” for a few seconds but nothing happens. Idk what to do anymore…

Make sure a 3rd party antivirus isn’t blocking
