Is everyone else having their disk drive constantly 100% memory and stuttering the game?
Game froze for a few secs everytime I enter a new zone or loads a new enemy type I didn’t saw before, it’s super annoying. Also the rubber banding is present

Yes. Mine stuttered while I was able to play. Eventually it kicked me out. Twice! In queue again.
Yeah same here, now I have the Error 316719 and can’t create a game
Yes, I have had a little bit. Usually during cut scenes/theatrics, but also when I entered the city. Really locked up for a second there.
Then of course I crashed when I was ready to leave, and was given a free 45 minute queue.
Same, scenes and when I enter Kyovashad
Lower your resolution there are 3 options window , full screen etc 1 of them will allow u to change resolution. Play at 1440. Turn down graphix spexiaĺy shadows and game will run better.
Shouldn’t have to lower settings on a 3080Ti / 12th gen processor / SSD / 32GB RAM for this game, as it’s not very demanding. This is an issue with the game. FPS drops substantially when entering new zones or cutscenes. Everything else runs capped at 144 foreground and background FPS. Hopefully they fix it
I was real bad at one point. I have 16GB of memory, with the bare minimum running outside of D4. I was still sitting pegged at 100% memory usage.
Remember that when you run out of memory, the page file (swap space) is used for extra memory space.
“…capped at 144 foreground and background FPS.”
If I remember correctly, blizzard’s background FPS is generally just fine when reduced to 5 or 10 FPS. It’s background animations that you likely won’t notice. Yeah the 3080 can do it without breaking a sweat. This won’t fix the stuttering but maybe you’ll save $0.10 over the course of a month of playing ![]()
Try it, see it you notice a difference.
yes for me a lot
i am playing on LOW graphics with limiting FPS to 60 rather than 150
that enhanced the performance rarely for me but still tons of stuttering and lags annoying my moves all around
my specs are not bad as i have i5-10300H CPU @ 2.50GHz , GTX 1650 Ti 4 GB VRAM
my disadvantages are in RAM 8 GB and using HDD
if upgrading RAM will enhance that a lot i may step forward to do it
Idk if thatll even help everyone. I have 32 gb ram, 12 core 3900x cpu, a good m.2 ssd, and a rtx 3080 and my fps goes from 120 to like 10 all the time, stuttering all over the place, micro freezing, rubberbanding, ect. Maybe its network related with their servers, since it rubberbands as well, weird to think network would do that to fps, but thats my guess since my hardware should be more than nuff
same here. stopped playing, it’s ridiculous and unacceptable.
A lot of this is probably network related. The stuttering and rubberbanding certainly. We also don’t know how much of the game runs on the server vs the client. I know Diablo 3 ran a LOT of the game on the server, so any time there were network issues all kinds of strange things could happen.
I’d say what you are experiencing is not stuttering, is lag. This game can be run on almost anything and the lag in this beta is constant and happens exactly what you describe.
Yeah, Im having that same issue too. I was tryin to stream Beta gameplay, started out fine, then my memory jumped to 87% and forced me to stop streaming. My OBS still thought it was streaming, but my live stream ended.
Hopefully they will fix this issue before full game release.
use lagofast to boost fps and reduce lag
Update cuz I upgraded to a 4090. No stuttering whatsoever but game utilizes upwards of 20GB of VRAM and 16GB system RAM maxed settings which honestly is kinda insane. So, the stuttering definitely comes from VRAM usage, which mostly comes from the texture packs I believe
Seems a bit odd though and hopefully something that can be toned down, but maybe not as every little detail of the game does look amazing, which comes at a price when you’re not using unreal engine 5
Yes game runs like so bad, on a Amd / 4070 RTX high details is not possible and medium is just random freezes.
Playing D4 with integrated Intel graphics and somehow managed to make it run smooth @ 50-60 fps (if not mounted). Dungeons are performing better than the open world, where it stutters and screen freezes from time to time.
But quality looks worse than D3, which can be played on max settings on my machine.
Had similar issues with D2R. Unreasonable hardware requirements in my opinion.
I mean… there are games like WoW Dragonflight I can play at mid settings and there is D2R, mostly a 2D game that stutters hard in some zones even at lowest settings.
