Game servers not available (Error Code 34202). I played at launch without issue for about 4.5 hours. I get up this morning and I’ve now spent an hour getting this code every time I try to launch the game. I’ve rebooted, I try to do a scan and repair. Not sure what’s going but it’s kinda upsetting.

Same here. PC no problem but on PS5 the game doesnt want to work.

Same, played 5 hours last night on pc. Woke up and tried to log in and now error 34202, been trying to get on for 2 hours or so.

I’ve got the same issue. It was fine yesterday–34202 every time I’ve tried today. I was kinda hoping login congestion wouldn’t be this invasive…

Any news on this issue? I’m also dealing with this from similar circumstances. I’ve tried restarting Battle.net, restarting the PC, and running through a VPN. Looks like the servers aren’t down though, so why are only some of us running into this?

Uninstall and reinstall seems to have fixed this to those that are dealing with it. Quite a pain though.

samsies, im attempting a reinstall now to see if i can get in, kinda a pain when the high rez textures bump the game up to 90gb

Same here error 34202 I’ve been trying for hours and I’ve got nothing. Any ideas would be appreciated!

On PC, try disabling the Windows Firewall and try it again.

As much as it sucks, a re-install did work for me.

Got it working, thanks to this thread!
The uninstall/reinstall worked for me.
Tried: restart, scan/repair, hopping to cell network, DNS reconfig–all failed.
I did preload the game yesterday.
I suspect it has something to do with folks who preloaded? Maybe the preloaded copies had hidden versioning issues?

This is on PC for me. I’ve been working all day, but I was trying to avoid uninstalling. I’ll see how it is when I get home and re-install if no change to see if that works. Thank you all for your feedback. I’ll post if it worked or not. I’m guessing there’s a game version mismatch myself. The loading splash screen version is not the same as the blizzard game app is showing. More to come.

exact same issue for me, did all the things for hours to try to fix. reinstall did fix it in the end.

Whoops, missed this post. I posted a fix in Error code 34202 -- FIX -- version mismatch 1.0.2.41917 vs 1.0.2.42016 ; but tl;dr to avoid having to do a full reinstall:

  1. Open your Diablo 4 install folder (gear icon next to PLAY, select Show in Explorer)
  2. Select everything EXCEPT the folders. In particular, DO NOT SELECT THE DATA FOLDER (because that’s the 80gb content!).
  3. Delete what you selected. (Or if you want to be safe, move it elsewhere.)
  4. In battle.net, select “Scan and Repair”
  5. Wait a minute or two.
  6. Launch.
