I wonder if its a normal path for a game like Diablo 4 that is suppose to have a long life to lose popularity so quickly.
Looking at the available data we can see of the Twitch platform from the
twitchtracker.c0m/games/515024
Diablo 4 had 590 000 active viewer on release June 2 and today July 15, 6 weeks later the game has 12 000 viewer.
So it is expected to have a drop in Viewer over time but to see such a sharp drop in popularity on Twitch is a good indicator of the popularity of the game overall.
It seems the Dev team has changed a lot over the years at Blizzard and the current Dev team doesnt see what people liked about the Diablo game.
On a personal note Diablo 2 remains on of my most fun experience in the Diablo series, even diablo 2 Resurected i had a lot more fun than Diablo 4.
Please add unique and set item like in diablo 2 to diablo 4
Remove level scalling, it make the game be a constant struggle which is not fun
Too many sidequest giving pointless crap that we end up selling to vendor, in diablo 2 there was few quest but they gave skill point, mercenary, more life, etc actual usefull stuff.
Mercenary were fun to have and level up
Trading was a very fun aspect of the game where we could try to complete set of item
Runes were fun to make runeword and try make better gear.
