turned off nvidia reflex low latency and distortion
worked for a good bit but still got a crash after while

This 100% does not work they need to ROLL BACK THE PATCH ASAP!
Only thing that has seemed to work in my case is undoing the overclock on my CPU
trying to see if the studio driver might help
I’ve built PCs since the caveman days. When you get random crashes, its usually due to your computer hardware being stressed beyond what you’ve seen in the past. Over time, hardware will degrade in its maximum capability. So an OverClock you may have thought you had stable for the past year or more, turns out to be unstable when pushed into the 99 percentile of demand.
The best thing you can try to do is lower graphic settings so your thermals are cooler. Remove any overclocks you’ve applied to CPU/RAM/VIDEO CARD and run stock default settings and see if you still have issues or not.
Running the game at 4K is much more demanding on the GPU as well, you can try scaling the graphics slider in the video options to around 80% from 100% and see if that lowers the stress on the GPU.
Once you get things stable again, only OverClock one thing at a time and slowly raise it and keep it stressed for a day or so before you increase its values, or start to overclock other facets of the PC.
So I have:
Updated BIOS and NVIDIA drivers - Running 536.23 on a RTX 3070 Ti with a 12th Gen core i9-12900F with 32GB ram. Uninstalled Razer cortex. Disabled Gforce overlay and discord overlay. Then turned off discord. Turned off steam. No overclock. Try to load game and boom bugcheck 0x116 - VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE. Fun fact - each time I update the Nvidia drivers to try and improve stability it makes the crashes worse. Thanks Nvidia and Blizzard for a game I can’t play.
The game crashes started with the latest patch. Also, games do not crash because of “PC Stress.” That’s hogwash.
