Not sure where I’m supposed to post this code, but this was the last one given to me when it crashed:
F1CC4FE3-0AA2-4587-BC07-86963EE60B3A
I was just teleporting out of town. I’ve also been getting TONS of random crashes with a box pop-up that says, “Graphics failed to initialize” or something to that effect.
I have an i7-13700kf, a 4070 Ti, 32gigs of ram. I’ve never had these issues before but I’ve been basically unable to play this patch. I thought I was having memory problems so I actually went out and bought 2 new sticks of ram thinking that would solve the problem. Nope. The game crashes nearly every 10-15 mins. I’ve uninstalled the game, uninstalled the entire Battle.net client, reinstalled them to a totally different SSD, reinstalled the latest Nvidia drivers (cleanly), disabled the Nvidia app optimization settings… I’m at my wits’ end!
Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.
Sounds like you have an NVIDIA driver issue.
Download NVIDIA 566.36 driver and save it somewhere you can find later.
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/details/237719/
Roll back your driver with DDU:
https://www.wagnardsoft.com/display-driver-uninstaller-DDU-
Preferably in Windows Safe mode to ensure a clean removal.
Ensure internet is not connected when booting back to Windows out of Safe Mode.
Install the previously downloaded NVIDIA driver 566.36
Reboot PC and reconnect internet
To decipher the Fenris code (F1CC4FE3-0AA2-4587-BC07-86963EE60B3A)
You need to go to your Diablo IV installation folder and open the most recent FenrisDebug.txt file.
Go to www.pastebin.com
and paste the contents of the Fenris file above … then share the link to that paste back here if you want someone to analyze and give ideas what might be wrong.
Edit:
Another thing to check is in the NVIDIA app to make sure PhysX is set to your GPU
