Game isnt difficult/hard enough

playing on max difficulty and never use the “dodge” mechanic cause hero’s are to strong. never take any damage mitigation, i use a pot maybe once in a dungeon at most, 5 charges is laughable…

make D4 have access to a inferno/dark souls level of pain.

i get its a beta, but there’s zero worry to dying

There is 5 difficulty levels to unlock.

right but we cant test them in the beta. old school Diablo’s we can go max difficulty on level 1

not for D3, that’s set to T6 maximum although if you haven’t got any decent gear on that character from the start it’ll be shredded everytime.

Except you couldn’t go beyond a certain difficulty even in D3 as a level 1. D4 doesn’t unlock harder world tiers until you complete the campaign and the capstone dungeon. Which is +50 level content.

Higher World Tiers will increase the difficulty later on in the game. Level 50 is basically the equivalent of level 70 in D3. You start unlocking Paragon levels at that point. We all know the difficulty will just spike like D3 though & everything will 1 shot you & only certain builds that incorporate cheat deaths & shields & maximum damage will be playable in the higher world tiers.

I’ve died several times on veteran as a Caster-Druid. Then Wearbear Druid didn’t fair much better.

Now I’m werewolf druid and I’m surviving much better. Earth Shield is great for pulling through a lot of damage.

Not all the builds are particularly strong at this early game, so the difficulty has to encompass this.

"I cant test the harder diffuculties and have no idea how they scale, therefore I deduce the entire game is way too easy, I should be a crime scene investigator, OJ def didnt do it.

but its not diablo, its diablo 4…

Pretty much this, we only have access to two levels of difficulty right now.

Same to easy only challenge was doing strongholds at -5 to 8ish lvls

yeah the HURT when diablo went to inferno difficult was there, not able to clear many rare mobs, “cherry picking” fights. gear swaps to counter certain floors. more strategy to the original D3 launch that got simplified by later patches. and yeah, if the 2nd degree of difficultly cant be increased to level 50 i feel like the first 2-3 acts are going to be breeze.

i worry about making a game “easy for everyone to play” you loose the Uniqueness of your game to cater to those who dont have time to invest into a character to Min/Max. much like every game that doesn’t honor the challenging games we gamers crave, they spike with popularity on launch, then fade away as a “oh wow you still playing that game” two months later cause everyone has beaten it and choose not to explore to grindy end game (that we Diablo fans love).

Not difficult enough compared to what? Souls game? Not going to happen? Other Diablo games? It was way more complex than Diablo 2 is now. Not as difficult as D3 was at release (a lot of which was just super annoying and over tuned).

i like the game, like the fact we have talent trees again, like the why paragon looks to be.
its looking like everyone’s “WIZZARD…” or what ever wont be cookie cutter builds. sure there will be some soft meta’s like “frost wiz” but everyone is going to choose to put extra points into different stuff. I LOVE THAT. tired of D3’s well you play wiz so you HAVE to have these SPECIFIC items in these SPECIFIC spots and choose these SPECIFIC runes, my point being it was made to be simplistic for everyone to play and beat the game. and im saying that reason is why alot of hardcore Diablo Fans played D2 over D3.

we want a challenge, this franchise has been around for a few decades. as a older gamer i need the challenge, i don’t want some Mario simulator where i just follow a meta and win and nothing puts up a fight. its like our champions are bully’s picking on the weak kid in school, that fun is short lived - every game that went that route to try to bring more players in that haven’t tried the genre of games yet has failed. or has very very very low retention of players.

and like i am saying (Not speaking for everyone here…) that most of my friends and other diablo fan base want a game that makes us think about points we spend and items we keep. otherwise this game will follow the trending “lets play d4… (a month later) that game sucks”

souls like games have been becoming popular at a alarming rate. gamers love a challenging game. lets hope D4 delivers

Yeah - I had a bit of trouble maybe between level 7 to 11 on the leveling beta. After that I was OP as Barb didin’t have to use pots, couldn’t be killed. It was meh. And all of that was on WT2

But you know leave some room for the rest - not everyone can is willing to brainstorm the heck out of it. Let some ppl cry more too that it’s hard.I find it funny. :smiley:

WT3 and WT4 were not available during the Server Slam, nor either of Beta Weekends.

Ergo, you have NOT yet played on maximum difficulty.

those are not unlock-able at level 1, you have to wait till level 50 to unlock… means the first 3 acts or how ever long are going to be WASTED with the walking simulator of degree of difficulty that WT2 was

So you’ll be playing on hardcore then right? Since the game is so easy and you’re so good that you can’t die, let’s see you put your money where your mouth is.
