This may be the art director’s vision rather than a technical problem. And that’s the way it was originally intended. And to ignore the majority is unwise. So I’m going to assume that the problem simply doesn’t exist.

Here’s circumstantial evidence that the problem doesn’t exist.

The developers have recently done an investigation into reports of the latest two series of Nvidia graphics cards having higher than normal temperatures or higher utilization than most players expect. This is most often indicated by your fans spinning up quite a lot and the GPU usage in your task manager or other GPU monitoring software cranking up to high utilization (nearer to 100%). What the engineers have found is that in the majority of situations, this is actually working correctly, and is usually a result of some of the higher impact game settings being enabled.
