When opening the chat, the game freezes completely on PS5. This is similar to what has been reported for xbox: Xbox Crash on Chat Open
This does not necessarily happen the very first time I open that chat, but consistently when I reopen the chat after 10-15 Minutes.
This is really troublesome, already almost killed a HC char twice and makes group interactions even more painful than it is already.
Just to be clear: The game freezes instantly when opening the chat. Completely, no recovery other than closing the app on PS5 an restarting. Reproduced this approx 10 times.
This is so damn annoying to not be able to look for groups/chat at all on console at the moment. Not to mention accidently opening the chat on HC and freezing the game.
I dont understand ever patch juat gets worse everytime how hard is it to copy and paste lol game just freezing while playing in game i have lost too many exp potions and too expensive to make anyways with many characters no wonder people are leaving this game and they want $100 for a dlc lol good luck
Also having this issue. Tbh I stopped playing for a few days+ now figuring it would’ve been patched quick - considering it’s pretty effin game-breaking (esp for HC players) - and was pretty disappointed logging in just now and seeing there’s still no fix. My brain goes auto-pilot when I want to send a message and frequently find myself unconsciously using the wheel to open chat and then yelling, “Fuhk!” as I’m reminded of this unplayable bug.
It’s been close to a week now. Something like this should’ve been emergency patched, especially if leading HC players to lose their characters, so have fun dealing with that lol. But hey maybe your new CEO can work some of that NFL magic and fix this all with a quick Thanos snap. And hopefully before you lose more players by further over-prioritizing cost cutting and revenue growth over developing a dependently stable, working game that people undeniably enjoy playing. Come onnnnn, let’s see that touchdown bb!
Since nobody answers or confirms a bug it could as well be that this is not noticed at all. I used to like community managers actually managing something back in the days…
Whatchu mean? There’s people right here on this thread confirming the bug, so I highly doubt it hasn’t been reported multiple times. I know people myself that are experiencing it, so it’s clearly a decent percentage of players. If even 10 players submit tickets reporting the bug, it’s something worth looking into. Considering how frustrating and game-disrupting it is, I’m sure plenty of players have reported it. It would go against logic to think otherwise, and every player I know is at least aware of it, whether it’s affecting them or not.
I’m still having this issue, and I’ve read a few forums and haven’t found a fix yet. Also noticed a lack of replies from devs or anyone else who could let me know a fix is coming? I feel a bit helpless at the moment and would love to trade or support others with runs but being a “Mute” player is painlessly aggravating
Same with me on ps4 pro. It’s not even worth playing like this. It’s fine until I leave town. I can generally emote and say “yes” or “no” trying to play with friends but on the rare occasion even that seems to freeze the console. It was working fine before the latest patch. Can’t we just copy the old code over for the chat? What was even suppose change that it had to be edited for this patch anyway? Please get it together folks, I’d love to be able to play again.
