I play a broken class (sorc), struggled through 84 levels of broken content and now my gear is optimized. The only things left are farming more paragon points and killing uber lilith.
I think Blizzard got it wrong when they declared they didn’t want endless progression and wanted a pinnacle challenge. There’s no incentive for me to repeat the same content again, my build didn’t really come online until level 70 or so. They expect me to repeat that every season? And buy battle passes?
See you all in Ashes of Creation. Until then I guess I’ll be farming for shako, my only real goal I have left. Sucks that we were tricked into beta testing their game at release, I would have liked to play sorc when it had more than 1 (boring) semi-viable build.
Well… what did you expect to do in an ARPG game? Specifically Diablo series.
This game has been the same since Diablo 2 (It actually has way more end game stuff than Diablo 2). If you didn’t realize the kind of game it was by now, then that’s just your own fault.
I just want to have incentive to continue playing a game I enjoy. Blizz wants to sell cosmetics and push micro transactions but seems intent on pushing players out of their game, it’s a weird dichotomy.
Nah – It’s 2023. There are plenty of fresh ideas out there for what end game play could be like. There is no excuse to fall back on stale old ideas they used in D3.
Keep in mind they only had 10 years to make this game. That’s not a very long time. There also aren’t any other arpgs to draw inspiration from and Diablo 4 is a brand new ip, the first in the series in fact! Being that Diablo 4 is free to play and Blizzard is a small indie company, they needed to allocate resources and development time to the cosmetic shop and battle pass systems to ensure future support.
Please have patience and wait a few more years. Blizzard actually had more content ready for release, but they made the smart decision to hold it for each season so you can be drip fed it over years each season. I for one am looking forward to reroll my class for set items one season, and then again the follow season for runes. This is much better than having a complete package on launch day!
In the meantime, show your support to Blizzard by grabbing some stuff out of the cosmetic shop or buy the battlepass.
plot twist - you won’t kill uber lilith on Sorc, lol - unless you’ll farm up some some cheese gear for max stagger items, swapped into overstacked damage to crowd controlled enemies. Otherwise forget it.
Went in yesterday - I’m lvl 100 ice shard Sorc with 800+ item power items and 4/4 needed stats in all slots. The amount of damage I did to Lilith was completely laughable - immediately realized doing attempts is nothing but masochistic waste of time.
Also forget NM dugeon push. At tier 60 - most mobs start to 1 shot, at tier 70 - all start to 1 shot. Pushing anything it’s silly hit and run game and also waste of time for no good reason and there’s nothing to aside of that. All you’re doing is leveling to 100 for no good reason.
Also - not like there’s much point in killing uber Lilith either, lol. Endgame is puddle shallow with good engagement. Even D3 had it more engaging endgame, and pushing GRs was infinitely more fun than pushing NM dugeons.
Game is complete barebones and they better fill the gaps a ton in Season 1 patch or people will leave and never look back.
Season 1 is the last chance I’m giving this game, if they don’t make drastic improvements, plenty of other games to actually have good fun with - because doing same few NM dungeons repeatedly is boring and lame AF and there’s not even good reason for it - because who gives a damn about hitting level 100? Barely anyone if that’s no other goal associated with it.
you have more or less reached the end of pre season content. in a couple weeks season 1 drops and will have more content to do. afaik they are adding a story arc questline QoL updates and new events and new unique items. and when season 2 drops 3 months later they will have even more new content, items ect.
being 84 you have probably played close to 100 hours so you have already gotten your money’s worth in theory and there is more to come.
my advise, speed boost and try another class before season 1 or take a break until it launches
in every diablo games there was no reason to go max level
diablo 4 have one, kind , uber lilith , but you shouldn’t feel forced to go there if you don’t want to , just make new characters or wait for seasons
most players never even cared about going to lv 99 on D2
or going max paragon on D3
these were wayyyyyy longer than how long it take in D4 to get max level, and there wasn’t any rewards for doing so.
It really dosent. Theres 6 uniques u hunt. In Diablo 2 its like 200 + sets runes, charms, jewels white socket ones, certain blues, torches I guess I still could go on and on.
Who’s to say that’s the money’s worth when there is $20 games you can spend 1000’s of hours in, what are you basing it off of? There is single player games with more content then d4
My necro hit 80 a few days ago. I completed a ND 50 at 78 as well, so…yeah I feel like the game is done for me.
The exp buff made me consider getting to 100, but that was back when I was 74.
Clearly there’s still time before S1, but I don’t see the point since it’s not even like Uber Lilith drops anything special. Not to mention my character will be dormant once the next season starts anyway.
The shill is strong with this one.
“Oh no, someone criticized my game. Better tell them the entire genre is this empty to make them stop saying bad things!”
