I am in the area going to finish Lilith and it has crashed 4 times in a row. I was playing all day without any issues but in this one area with the tumors I cannot get past without a crash. I am running an intel i9 9900ks with a 4090.

I have i9 13th gen and 4090 and 128gb of ram and still experiencing crashes, my longest play time is about 45 mins so about 5 hours or more into que time then 15 mins of gameplay

SAME issue here. It’s soooo frustrating! I’ve spent about 2ish hrs trying to get through the “Descent - Pursue Lilith” portion of the questline and the instance either disconnects me or outright crashes the game to desktop. It’s random WHEN it fails but it’s 100% failure.
I can go off and run some side quests, and dungeons, no problem. Come back to try this again after 30 mins or so? BOOM, disconnect/crash.
I tried again with a friend and got up to the boss and crashed right before the boss died. I tried go back in again and keep crashing yet again in the zone before the boss. This needs to be fixed asap and I am glad I do not need the act completion to get the puppy. This is very frustrating.
I tried doing it again today as well. I got a little further than usual on the first attempt but didn’t reach the end before it CTD. Second attempt was even less so. I gave up, I’ll just have to hope they fix it by release – but it’s weird. I see streamers (and online friends) getting through it without a hitch. If I get a wild hair, I’ll try and give it a go on a different PC.

same shiat happens to me im so sick of it tried it 3 times and now i just give up… i killed the boss 2x and then run to talk to someone up ahead and it crashes. what a waste of 100 bucks
I tried again this morning and made it a lot further into the quest but it crashed once I made it to the Lilith’s Lament boss.

I had a CPU overclock that hasn’t caused issues in any other games for over a year. Turned that off and no longer crashing on this quest.
SAME! Fiancé’s game crashes non stop in that last dungeon unable to finish the story at all.
These crashes are all over the place. You clean an area you go further, then you are taken back 2-3 areas before when you get back in the game after the crash. More save points along the way would do just nicely.
I basically have the same PC and experience. We are brothers of misery.

its happening to me right now. uninstalled reinstalled on a new drive. same thing. changed all settings to low . i dont get it

okay so i just went to my gforce center and optizmed d4 through there and changed it from optimal to line 3 so almost at lowest settings and i got pass it??? i dont get this sh~!! but it worked,.
I had the same problem!
I found something online that helped me is turning off peripheral lighting in the settings…
