Game Crashing as of Patch 1.1.0.43487, using AMD RX 6800 XT Reference Card, 23.7.1 Driver, constant Fenris errors

And yep, obviously not a problem of my rig when everything was going fine but D4. Today’s patched applied, 0 crashes in 4 hours. So everything points they broke up the game for many people in S1 patch. Anyways fingers crossed and again, tyvm for trying to help.

Oooh! I’ll give this a shot, and report back!

I did a few Malignant Tunnels and a Helltide without issue so far! The game still freezes briefly on occasion so far, but no crashes.

I’ll keep playing and see how this goes with Resizable BAR enabled!

EDIT:

Result: the game is still crashing with Fenris errors. This is not the solution, sadly!

EDIT #2:

I am using the very latest AMD Adrenaline drivers, version 23.7.2. The game is still crashing on patch 1.1.0.43487.

Try changing the preset to medium or low, and keep the textures on high.
It’s a bummer that it didn’t fix the issue for you.
After the latest patch and AMD update, I no longer experience any crashes, just the occasional freeze.
I managed to have a 3-hour session yesterday to finish my Lilith altars, with 2 freezes (which I fixed by restarting the game), and no stuttering.

It didn’t really matter what I set my graphics to; the game would always crash. I think I found a fix!

I also installed Windows Optional Features “Graphics Tools” for Windows 11.

From advice listed elsewhere, I ran “dxcpl” and added “D:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo IV\Diablo IV.exe” to the executable list. Then, in the “Device Settings” area I set the “Feature Level limit” to “11_1”, and hit “OK”.

The game is now very stable and does not crash at all after several hours of play. It may freeze briefly on occasion, but it’s nowhere near as bad as it was!

Tentatively resolved, going to give it a few more days.

EDIT: Nope, still CTD at random, this does not help.
