Blizz,
It is completely unacceptable to keep the game in its current state. Patch 2.0 and the VOH release have completely ruined the game’s stability and performance.
Not only are players experiencing crashes due to memory leaks or other issues, but once they are in the game, they face high latency and constant rubberbanding in group content and the open world. The server performance is horrendous.
On top of that, we have:
- The worst class balance since release.
- SB highlighting how underdeveloped the base classes are.
- Constant item duping and exploiting.
- An insane amount of RMT spammers and scammers.
- The worst loot rewards since release.
- Repeated tampering with crafting materials, creating artificial bottlenecks. You have deliberately done this every season since launch, choosing one crafting material and severely nerfing how it can be acquired while simultaneously increasing its demand.
- Masterwork materials not being refunded on salvage (no communication about this, by the way—nothing in patch notes, forum posts, blue posts, or campfires. You always sneak in unwanted changes and only revert or adapt when the community calls you out).
- Several bugs in skill interactions, glyphs, or paragon nodes.
Yet you insist on charging a premium for this game. You charge for battle passes, skins, and DLCs, while delivering a product that even new indie dev studios wouldn’t put out in terms of technical performance and bug management.
Either get your act together, fix all the issues listed above, and issue a massive apology to your player base (given the horrible state of the game, even offering a few free armor sets seems mildly generous at this point), or sell D4 to a competent game developer that respects its players and puts out a functional product. I’m not even asking for a great game, just a working one.
