After installing the season 10 update, I’ve been unable to play the game on my Xbox Series X. Each time I launch the game, the title screens will show and I’ll get to the “press any button” screen. Although I have it turned off, I hear the accessibility screen reader start to read the version number of the game. At that point, the game crashes back to my Xbox dashboard or does a full restart.
I’ve tried multiple steps from my end:
- Power cycling my xbox multiple times
- Clearing the local saved game data
- Confirming my accessibility settings are completely off
- Attempting to launch from a different profile/account
- Confirmed my Xbox is free of debris at the intake/exhaust
- Reinstalling the game multiple times.
- Confirming my Xbox is up to date
- Confirmed over 100 gb of free space on my console
This was not an issue with any of the previous seasons. I also do not notice any issues with the other games on my Xbox.
Is this a known issue, or has anyone found a fix?

I have the same issue and can’t find a fix other then the one’s you have stated and some that i have found online.
I am having the same issue. Game is unplayable. If i manage to sign in before crash at title screen then i am able to play but this is very rare.
Exactly same issue . I have tried every fix i found , opened support with Microsoft and nothing helps. Blizzard is not helping or doing any fix…
I am facing same issue on Xbox series S, on series X no problems instead.
Everything was running on series S till season 10 and all other games are correctly working.
I Hope next update will solve because I already tried everything possibile, but without any success.
Same issue. Game is locking up after first 2 splash screens on Xbox Series X. Each time I get an audible narration of the version number or Press Any Button. I do not have audio guidance turned on. Game locks up, eventually returning to Home Screen or causes my Xbox to restart. Have cleared cache, deleted local saves to resync, reinstalled. Nothing is working. Funny thing is it works perfectly fine on my other Series X.
I am also seeing the same issue. For me the screen starts to go black and after 10 seconds the game crashes. The black seems to supposed to be some sharers
Was there any update on this issue, I have been having the same problem and can’t find a solution or work around.
Ok, I’ve been on the struggle bus with this and I’m glad I’m not the only one. I’ve done all of the hacks. My next step would be to buy a new Series X. I hope this gets addressed soon.
