Game crashed, lost items

On 10/19 around 8:45 PM or so, the game “crashed” when I changed difficulty level. I ended up having to exit the game, when I came back I was missing my helmet and my chest: Heir of Perdition and Shroud of False Death, which I had to make (both). Also, runes are gone that I had in them. Please fix this! Thank you.

I just had the same thing happen to me, also when changing difficulty.

How do we get any help? I have never had to try to get help for the game yet…

One of my clanmates says he got this also and it was fixed within an hour. Not sure what to do other than wait at this point…

Did you happen to pick up villager’s remains before switching difficulty?

Hmm. Same here. I picked up some villager’s remains(3) and when I switched to torment 2 it was just a black screen. I lost a bunch of non-unique gear (Helm, chest, pants, amulet, and a ring) and it removed my follower.

Yep, same here villager’s remains, torment 4 to torment 3, crash, no more tyrael and starless skies ring, other equipement are still here

Picking up the villager remains is causing this. Don’t pick them up.

Bumping this to the top for max visibility.

Does anyone know how to get the items back?

I have the same problem. I lost my RING OF STARLESS SKIES and one of the stones in my helmet is missing. I still don’t know if I lost more things.

Happened to me Friday night, it’s effecting a lot of people right now. There’s been multiple threads of people saying the same thing happened after picking up the remains and changing difficulty.

I lost a 4 GA ring of starless skies along with 2 other mythics. Feels great.

Ended up refunded VoH today because it’s still not fixed for me.

Well, good to know Blizzard doesn’t care about this franchise either. Throw Diablo onto the pile of dead franchises and pray PoE2 isn’t a bug riddled nightmare.

Yea pretty much just waiting for PoE at this point, at least they care more about their player base
