Game crashed again

The game crashes regularly. And I am by far not the only one. It is constant game crashes since Vessel of Hatred. There were multiple patches in the past two months with “various stability improvements”. But there is no stability improvement. The game continues to crash constantly.

Obviously Blizzard gave up Diablo 4 already. They have already collected the money from players. It seems they do not even play their own game.

I want my money back. But Blizzard won’t give it back. And they refuse to make the game work. I feel scammed.

Make sure:

  1. You meet min requirements
  2. Your running in an SSD
  3. All your video driver an pc updates are current
  4. You have a good/stable ISP

If you have done all that then it could possibly be another program interaction.

Games been smoth and stable since mid oct.

There is a larger number of people with zero crashes I would guess.
I as well do not.

I always like to reassess my PCs stability at any point a game isn’t stable.
Obviously D4 has some unsavory code, but I have been able to stabilize it quite a few times now.

I’m not going as far as saying I want my money back but I agree it crashes alot and the most amount of people claiming this is the highest I ever seen. It’s tapered off though but there’s 100’s of these threads with thousands of replies and way more views back on the expansion launch and now are long gone.

But yes it is unreasonable high amount of people that have crashing so don’t listen to those that say it’s not bad. It’s the worst I seen in a long time.

Im with you, you are not alone but with out data its impossible to say if we are the minority and if so, by how much…
I play on xbox1 so i don’t have to check as many settings but i crash every time i try the Undercity and any time i enter a new zone…some times in Hordes.
SB in my area/team DIRECTLY contributes to my experience and the new zone as a whole is a crash waiting to happen.
I feel, and i may be wrong…but i wonder if they (Microsoft) wants it to be unstable on older consoles so “we” are encouraged to buy the new XBOX X…

I bet is easy between 5% and 10%. That is outrageously high.

If you sold 100 widgets and 1% of them were bad then yes a “large number of [widget] customers have 0 problems” which isn’t that bad. Are you saying Blizzard only sold 100 copies of D4?

It does…it’s crashes so often that hardcore is basically unplayable

Hardcore isn’t even an option for me due to this…sad

Bro I’m not saying any weird stuff like that.
Check out my post.

i posted in another thread, been trying to play since 10am, over 10 crashes today alone. Its complete BS. My pc is not even 6 months old, top of the line Dell. Its why In wont waste money on expansion. If POE doesn’t crash, even if it sucks moose D, I’m out unless this gets fixed. Ive been here since D1 too, shame.

Apparently many people are ignoring shadowcat and the others reporting on this, It isn’t JUST D4, It’s D3, D2R, And apparently Call of Duty as well, Possibly Diablo Immoral, World of Warcraft as well. Recently after the campfire chat it was discussed/suggested that Rod had said everything was being done at the cheapest level the least work done to maximize minimize effort & expense if all this is as reported well looks like quality of Blizzard products is going to continue to take a deep dive!

Ew very concerning remark there sir.
Where is our factual proof on this matter?

Which is odd because I would say nothing has really changed on the side of the older games. If anything I would chalk it up to either a windows update or a driver problem. The majority of problems on these forums are also from higher end PC’s. Not all people with higher end PC’s are having these issues though, but the majority with problems seem to be those that do.

Whatever is causing these issues, isn’t just an easy fix though.

I checked it out. Now what?

The now what was insinuated.
What is your conclusion of this journey?

Crazy rant man, relax.

PLEASE

Can we stop “blaming the victim” by claiming, without any evidence at all, that the problem is caused by some undetermined problem with their installation/connection. As an ex systems/ethics auditor I have seen these tactics used, especially by service-on-demand facilities to deflect complaints. Companies, and supporters, use these tactics to cover either an inability or unwillingness to fix issues.

On this issue to particularly reference Iggi’s totally unsupported speculation about the cause with my own experience,

In November alone I have 27 Fenris reports

  1. It is not my net connection (my network stats show uninterupted up time of the last 71 days…connection speed 85-100mb/s….zero downtime)….game still crashes

  2. I have rolled back both system and graphics card updates to September editions…run the game install checker multiple times……no difference…still crash with similar symptoms to many many complainants on these forums about this issue.

  3. NO OTHER SOFTWARE is failing…NONE……other games like POE 1, Grim Dawn and Last Epoch are rock solid with no failures.

  4. Intense scanning with hardware checkers show zero issues.

  5. While playing D4 I can just watch memory usage rise and rise and rise (while monitoring it with a facility in the graphics drivers) until after about an hour or so a black screen appears when teleporting to a waypoint….always this problem.

Please stop trying to deflect the focus on the issue’s real cause as is evidenced in user reports….it only serves to prolong the time taken to address the issue. If indeed the problem cannot be addressed (as someone has indicated Blizzard acknowledged) then Blizzard must tell it users and potential buyers what it is so they can avoid it.

Totally stonewalling affected users and making them feel some insecurity in their own installation will not make the problem go away and is, in my opinion, unethical.

Edit: 6. My system is not a potato either.

you created quite a few threads on this OP. In none you posted your system specs so far. Eventually thats something you could do?

I don’t think you meant to respond to me at all. So I’ll just chalk this up to hate aimed toward someone else.

No where in my reply did I shift the blame over to the victim, I was responding to another person pointing out that this is happening in multiple Blizzard games, not just D4. So the logical conclusion would be it’s not necessarily on Blizzards end, seeing as many of these other games haven’t had updates in a while.

I also pointed out that the majority of issues with D4 seem to be with people with higher end PCs and builds. Again not everyone with higher end PCs are having these issues, but of the people that have given their specs, it’s a rather common denominator.

So combined, where does that lead us? Windows, graphics cards, or some other underlying problem. If it was only a Fenris problem with D4, and not multiple Blizzard games, I’d be more inclined to believe it was D4 only.

I honestly don’t know how you got to ‘blaming the victim’ from my reply. Also why I think you responded to the wrong person. No worries either way, wouldn’t be the first time.

If you read my post…D4 ONLY…no other software/game issues as I stated…i do not have other Blizzard games (and on this experience why would I ? . My son runs Overwatch and WoW as well and it is only D4 crashing for him too.
Done all the usual…fresh installs of windows/hardware drivers/game…tried different SSD’s …same thing…D4 crashes.

Regardless, Blizzard stonewalling will not address the issue.
