Game already dead? lul

lots of issues with diablo 4 at the moment. Regardless of fun detected nerfs, there are still many issues.

I am the only level 100 in any town, any world event, pretty much the only level 100 in pvp zone whenever I go, just makes it feel a lil dead in my opinion but I digress. My point is it is hard to find groups in town. Local chat is the only option if you aren’t in a discord community or have a group who plays regularly and will drop someone for you. Why is there no global chat? No communities? There is incentive to play with a group, but if you don’t already have a group or your group is busy with someone else, you have to play solo doing nightmares by yourself. Solo nightmare grinding is…not fun. You either have to play really bad dungeons to get more sigils, or salvage bad ones and craft more til you get a good dun. lots of rng.

When the game dropped, I had a blast. Yes I dumped a lot of time into it, around 170hrs in the first 1.5 weeks, now I’ve taken a break. But I don’t think that caused any burnout. What caused burnout was the endgame, or lack thereof. I am going to bring up the elite spawn rate nerf lol it feels like they took a slider where elite spawn rate was at 100 and turned that sucker down to 20. Some dungeons needed fixing, not nerfing, maugan’s works for example. They fixed maugans. No issues there. Champions demise is still the xp dungeon in groups, still decent xp but the lack of item drops is extremely irritating. Ruins of eridu and blind burrows got nuked too…why? Eridu was unironically probably the most fun I’ve had on this game, and they just ripped it away because the top 1% of players were doing what ARPG players do…farming xp and items efficiently…Why are you trying to make this game not feel like an ARPG?

Loot drop rates are laughable, gold rates are laughable, paragon board resetting needs to be cheaper OR FREE and allow us to reset the whole board by clicking 1 button please. Please please please, and do the same with the ability section. Kinda stupid to have to spend 14mil total gold to change your build and test out something else. Or give us more gold lol I’m at endgame and see small piles of 600 gold on the ground, the occasional 1000 and everything is super expensive. For example: I had 40 million gold. I decided to reroll a weapon because, surely I would get a decent roll in 40 million gold, I spent 3-4 hours amassing that fortune! I rerolled the weapon 10 times for an average 4 million per reroll. I was then broke without the roll that I was looking for. Annoying.

If I had to describe the Diablo IV Experience in its current state in one word…it would be that. Annoying.
(One more thing about the rerolling, why can we not see the available stats before rerolling like we could in diablo 3? It feels like blizz just wants to remove QOL features such as reset dungeon button and the resetting paragon 1 by 1, for the sole reason being to make the game more annoying)

Most of the endgame activity paired with all the nerfs we have seen, fun detected patches, etc just makes me and many others feel annoyed. I’m not gonna stop playing the game based off of the poor state of launch, but please take our feedback and make your next moves wisely. There is no need to cater to casual players who are brand new to ARPGs. No need to cater to nolife players, although many of us would like it <3, just make the game good. I’m also really upset seeing a lot of people defending blizzards poor choices because “its blizzard bro”. If you are okay with a game dev making bad decisions and act like its normal or expected, you end up with a bad game and that would be a shame if you ask me.

btw fix the mount system or get rid of it entirely lol ive seen better pathing in mobile games

cool story
maybe realize not everyone is going to hit 100 that fast or possibly join a clan with other 100’s

So dead. You should go. Run! Don’t look back, we will be fine.

But if you ever decide to come back, understand that Diablo 4 will be here, not even missing a beat, to welcome you back.

you will understand when you hit wt4. i’ll be back for season 1 hopefully they add some good changes and enjoyable content to make up for the fact that you’ll have to farm renown every season :stuck_out_tongue: hopefully they incentivize people to login daily. nvm let me not say that they will turn this into immortal

I am level 89 in WT4. I have been waiting for all this horrible stuff to keep happening with the leveling and me losing so much power that I feel weak but I guess that starts at 90? Or is it 100 now. All I know is that I feel good. I’m having fun. And I can’t wait for the season to hit so I can see what fun they have in stall for us.

you literally made a post complaining about fun detected nerfs…and complain about not being able to find aspects. Whose side are you on bro??? make it make sense lmao

and I never said I feel weak. I steamroll all content in the game. I’m opposite of weak lmfaooo I don’t care about the class nerfs its the elite spawn rate that is annoying and removed all the fun.

I gave up at 82.5

I rather work retail than to run another ND.

Yes, when the game released tons of people took vacation and no-lifed it hard and that felt really good because it meant there were lots of people doing the same thing together. Now people are back to their real lives and limited play time and so they are on more sporadically.

This is why seasons exist: to bring people back, all at the same level, all doing the same stuff again, without requiring that everyone no-life the game continually.

I know I’m no stranger to this concept. I have groups to play with. Even during the peak playtime for d4 there were not many high levels together in world events. You’d see like 5 level 85+ and the rest 60 but now its like im the only level 100 with a bunch of level 60s fighting loot pinata XD

I am hopeful for season 1 I just want them to make the game good.

Agree on a lot of points, but something to note is that the devs wanted to establish a baseline for all dungeons and they said they’ll be buffing them up from there.

Can I not be having fun while realizing that the initial dev response to streamers breaking barbarian was a knee jerk reaction? Can I not be having fun while asking in the forums to please buff certain aspects that are locked behind rings which are rare to begin with making the aspect behind the ring even rarer. I am not “picking “ a side. I hope this explains my actions in an understandable fashion, if it does not. I am fine with that too.

Rarely seen a 100, but shards are so small hard saying what’s all out there at any given time.

Yes the playerbase broke a class that blizzard engineered. Get real! Took me until around level 80 to get my rings on old drop rates. The aspect issue you’re talking about is gonna be solved by…drumroll please…revert legendary spawn rates or revert elite spawn rates to bring loot back to what it was. Even then only one person found Harlequin helmet and it was a korean in champions demise literally playing 24 hours a day with a bucket under his chair.

God how do some of you find this much time to play video games? Shouldn’t you be doing something else with your time? I just hit 50 and I’m on summer vacation. A lot of you need to chill and read a book or something.

Yeah because getting to high level in a week is only possible for the true no-lifer.

why are you shaming people for spending their time differently? kinda weird imo

I guess you also had some high expectations like so many people who love the genre, but right now the game is unfinished and rushed. Don’t expect much for Season 1. However the Season 1 patch is a hit or miss for Blizz regarding player retention. All eyes are on that patch.

Shame isn’t always a bad thing.
