FYI: Kor Dragan level 30 mobs has best gear for server slam

For those that dont know, Osgar Reede level 35 mob will not drop any other gear than the special Mace from now on. So the level30 mobs in Kor Dragon will be best way to get highest level gear that i know of (dungeons like Anicas Claim will still be best for general Aspects/ gear farm). So try and get some good gear before Ashava so you dont become a sink.

Kor Dragan can be found here:

EDIT: If they fixed Aspect imbuement not lowering level requirement of an item, this place holds less value.

EDIT 2: Imbue bug has been fixed. But Kor Dragan is the best place to get gear. It drops level20, 314 item power weapons, but they are rare. Mostly you will get items over level20 which you cant use.

Thanks! I didn’t know we had access to mobs that high of a level

That cannot be farmed unless done with other players though no?

The level 25-27 mobs can be farmed solo with a good build, i remember doing it at level 20 in last beta. Anyway, chances are big for other players to hang around in that area, especially on the server slam. After you clear Kor Dragon by using the Shrine after the boss (you can still kill boss and leave, and it resets), it becomes a place with level30 mobs and an event that spawns often. There is also a XP boost you can get 15 times by touching the Campfire.

Yes , you can farmed a stronghold in solo and in a party with other players .
OP intent is to get better gears . ANd better gears usually dropped from higher level monsters

Especially getting the highest item power weapon you can get is important.

If we can still imbue items to lower level requirement (you still keep the higher item power stat), we can get gear with higher than level 20 requirement and imbue it to drop the level requirement and use a item with higher item power. That’s what people did in last beta with the gear drops from Osgar Reede level 35 mob, which got nerfed.

Killing everything but the last boss or how is it done? Because if you kill the boss it’s gone no?

You need to touch the Wanderers Shrine as you see in the video (just like with other strongholds). I accidently thought i had cleared the place in first beta, but i hadn’t touched the Shrine, so had to do it all over again.

Kill everything . There is no reset button in a stronghold
So Leave game (not Exit) and come back to wait for the Stronghold event to spawn again

So, kill everything including boss. Then as long as you walk out and not exit, everything will respawn after a bit? Cool thanks!

No,
Dont just walk out , make sure you go to the menu and click Leave Game
Then come back as the same toon and go to the same location for a respawn of the stronghold event
Rinse and repeat

ah, that makes sense. I’ll be sure to try it out during the Slam.

They fixed that during the last open beta.

No, you could imbue items to reduce level requirement in both beta weekends (from personal Aspects, not Codex). Haven’t seen anything about them fixing it for server slam if you care to enlighten us?

I believe both personal Aspects and Codex can be imbued in last beta regardless of item levels

Yes? But doing it from Codex, you cant make a level30 requirement item into level 5 requirement item.

There was an attempted fix it looks like, but they only fixed the visual portion of it. Looks like the actual bug where you used an Aspect from your inventory (not the codex) did still lower the item level if the aspect itself was a lower item level. Given that they attempted to fix it once, and the server slam will be many, many builds after even the internal devops builds from that same time period, I would expect them to have that bug fixed. We’ll find out soon enough I guess.

Codex aspects will apply the minimum level possible for the aspect in question to an item regardless of its item level, but as noted below you it won’t lower the item’s level. Using an aspect from the inventory that was lower level than your dropped item would at the time lower the item’s level to that of the aspect itself. Half of the bug was fixed (the visual part), but the internal iLV change was not fixed. I’m hoping it is fixed in the server slam client. This isn’t something they want in the game since it destroys balance during leveling and even during transitions into higher world tiers (LV 50/75+).

Don’t know anything about them attempting to fix it, but you could never lower item requirement by imbuing with a Codex legendary.

Will update tomorrow if imbuing to reduce level requirement on items still work.
