This is more of a suggestion rather than an in game issue. Hopefully you guys forward this to someone who can possibly make the change. Also, if there is an email to send suggestions to Blizzard to help improve the future development of games, would love to know it. My suggestion is that the next time the game takes the player to hell, maybe it should be more of a journey to hell rather than a quick stairway to a gate. That way the buildup has more of a buildup. And when the player finally does get there, give it some serious shock and awe. The gate should look like something no one would ever want to enter and be very forewarning. The story and plot was very pleasing compared to the last diablo game y’all released, but I feel that y’all could still use aspects from diablo 1 and diablo 2. The gory background to diablo 2 was unmistakably one of the most horrifying environments I’ve ever played in a game (especially in the temples of act 3). However, hell was far scarier in diablo 1 considering that it was made out of flesh and bone. Hell should be a place where the player feel a sense of terrifying hopelessness yet curiously compelled to go forward. I just remember this game being much more horrifying. I also hope you guys find a way to insert a holy warrior/priest or fighter/mage subclasses. What better way to drive back the forces of hell than with a holy class? Anyways, please forward this to someone who might actually take this into account with future developments of the game.
I was really hoping that “Hell” was going to be a giant, procedural, end-game mega zone to get lost in and face pinnacle challenges. Instead it turned out to be a couple hours of campaign progression never to be seen again… Sad really…
I agree and like I said before, hell should be much scarier than what is portrayed. I feel like the devs are straying from some of Diablo’s core content which is horror and gore. Although, this game had it’s fair share of blood and guts, I still don’t think it holds a candle to Diablo 1 and 2. The level of messed up crap you see in those games is so much more.
