Still broken… the barricade is unbreakable now. This is the only quest I need to finish all quests.
After the update today, I was sure they would fix it, but no. Very frustrating for completionists.
Please fix this simple cellar quest Blizzard.

The bug forum will be a better approach.
As far as how I managed this. I tried what most people suggested, but found grouping for this quest worked best. One person stays outside the cave (make sure there’s no event going on), while the person who needs the quest enters and clears.
It could be coincidence, but I’ve managed to clear it multiple times now without issue using this approach, vs it being bugged trying to run it solo.
The good news is, there’s nothing but an achievement you get for it (and some garbage loot).
Just like in destiny…

I am very outraged with this topic, I join the group of people who have this problem, I only have this mission and there is no way, and now after the last patch it is worse because the barrier cannot be broken, by the way the error happens on xbox sx in my case
I am same. On Xbox series X, i wasnt able to make my xbox lag prior to the latest patch or lag my connection, nothing worked. Still bugged, and this is game breaking, if you consider the game as completing all the quests. It is simply not completable
I have been trying to get a Dev to read my countless post about this quest. I literally just posted another topic about it. This quest has been bugged since launch and yes somehow got bugged even further. Oh and can even be bugged further if there is an event going on outside of the cave.
I can’t even talk to the NPC inside the cave if there is an event going on outside the cave. I have to clear it first, then talk to her, just to find out I still can’t damage the barricade OR get the NPC’s to follow me
