The quest starts, you go inside the cave and listen to the speech. Then nothing, they don’t move, the barricade is unkillable. I have tried all the suggested fixes but nothing.

I just finished this quest on PS5 (7th of July 2023) on current patch.
I read somewhere that PC players where using a software to lag out their connection on purpose and that was their solution to finish the quest.
I tried my best to “emulate” that “lag effect” on my PS5. This is what i did:
I set my internet connection to Wi-Fi instead of cable on PS5 newtork settings, positioned my character outside the cave and went back to the PS5 dashboard. Then i went into my library, choose a random game and started downloading it. After that i went back into the game, entered the cave, talked to the NPC and the quest WORKED!! I am playing on WT4 but im pretty sure that doesn’t matter. Don’t know why it worked, but the truth is, i finally finished this quest after WEEKS of trying everything else i found online.
If someone else reads this and is playing on PS5, try this. I hope this helps someone and that it works as well as it did for me.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that i have cross-network play and cross-network communications disabled. No idea if that has any impact or not, but i just had to add this info

Hi,
For players on Playstation. (i dont know this works also on xbox and PC)
This solution worked directly after i tryed other solutions that i found on the internet like tryed 50 times.
Solution:
Step 1: I have abandoned the quest first.
Step 2: Log out in the game and leave it on the character screen.
Step 3: Make a wifi hotspot on your phone.
Step 4: Go to network settings and connect your internet on PS5 or PC with the hotspot you maked on your phone.
Step 5: Go back in game and load your character again.
Step 6: Then start the mission again.
Step 7: Then go to the quest dungeon to talk with Aelda and listening full to the dialoge and then they follow you and attack the gate and go further in the quest and finish the quest.

I am having this probelm also, cannot finish the quest, it should be the last one I need to get my 4 paragon points and I can be done with this section of world.

Try my solution with the hotspot
This bug has been here since day one and it breaks the quest.
Blizzard: STOP spending time nerfing gameplay when there are bugs that break the game. I have reported several since the first Beta and they are STILL in the game.

I don’t have the capability to do the hotspot thing, plus it shouldn’t even be a fix for a game it is the game dev’s problem.

Im having the same problem before i could go in and kill the enemies. I couldnt complete the quest though . Now after abandoning the quest a few times and trying it again. I can only go as far as the barricade now. I cant destroy it it takes zero damage.

Same here spent 1.5 hours try all quick fixs nothing worked plz fix this we spent lots of money and would like to 100% the quest before end of year MY FATE AGAINST FURY IS LOSING
I’m having the same issue (on Xbox btw) and tried all the “fixes” but nothing helps. Can’t do the hotspot thing so that’s not an option. I’m hoping it is fixed in patch 1.1, wasted about 2 hours on this so far.

Still bugged after today’s patch, it’s not yet fixed.
Im also having an issue with this quest even after the recent update on xbox.
Yup I’m on the pc and have the exact same thing it as if the speach never finish to start them moving forward yet the quest change to kill all canibals
Chiming in, also have this issue despite the last two patches. Yesterday’s patch added a fun new bug to the quest — it’s now not even possible to damage the barrier between the entry and the monsters. Nada, nothing, will not budge. Not that it matters, because the NPCs still aren’t following me in anyway.

After the patch from july 18, i hoped that the Fury Against Fate would be fixed. But instead it is even worst, because now the barrier is in god mode. It is not getting any damage! And the group is not following you.
