“Fury Against Fate” quest will not progress. After entering the Wasting Hollow the barbarian NPCs will not move from their starting positions and assist in clearing the cave. This prevents the quest from progressing. This has been an issue for several weeks. 
However a NEW TWIST as of the update I downloaded 7/6: The destructible wall in the cave (in my game it is marked level 50 Elite) is now impervious to damage. My level 50 necromancer with a full arsenal of spells, 7 skeleton warriors, 5 skeleton mages, and a bone golem, made not a single dent in this wall. So currently the quest is broken and the back half of the cave is inaccessible due to a glitched wall. (For the record, I have tried all the recommended “fixes” found online including; logging out, dropping the quest, clearing the outside world event, etc repeatedly to no avail.) Please fix. 
I am having the same issues. I have tried everything and to no avail. Please fix this so that I can complete my quest logs.
Same issue… followed all instructions to do events, abandon quest, change world tier and same issue.

For players on Playstation. (i dont know this works also on PC)
This solution worked directly after i tryed other solutions that i found on the internet like tryed 50 times.
Solution:
Step 1: I have abandoned the quest first.
Step 2: Log out in the game and leave it on the character screen.
Step 3: Make a wifi hotspot on your phone.
Step 4: Go to network settings and connect your internet on PS5 or PC with the hotspot you maked on your phone.
Step 5: Go back in game and load your character again.
Step 6: Then start the mission again.
Step 7: Then go to the quest dungeon to talk with Aelda and listening full to the dialoge and then they follow you and attack the gate and go further in the quest and finish the quest.

Yes, DEVS please repair this. I already do not like this woman and I want to be done with her.
I appreciate the help but I am on Xbox and I also do not have the capability to create a mobile wifi hotspot.
I’ve read extensively online where people have suggested all sorts of work-arounds to essentially lag out the ping/FPS and “trick” the game into working for this quest. It’s ridiculous that anyone should have to go through all that for something so silly. Blizz just needs to fix the dang quest!!! There will be a huge update on the 18th when they roll out the new Season. By the High Heavens… if they don’t fix this mammajammin quest. 
I have reset, changed worlds, reset xbox series x. Can not progress the quest. Characters dont move and barrier is indestructible.
Same problem on Xbox Series X. No suggested workarounds…work for me. Hopefully it’ll get fixed next week.
I was waiting to repair this bug, because there were many readings about that.
And now it is other then before, now NPCs are moving!.
After I place hydra next to them, they are going to the wall - to the Gore-soaked Barricade ! Great job Blizzard !
But after a while NPCs sneak trought the unouched Barricade and are attacking behind the wall.
And I am unable to destroy the wall - no damage is made. Just “Vulnerable” shown.

It’s really fascinating, that this bug is still there.
I too am having this issue on PC.
I am experiencing the same glitch i have tried several different methods to no avail. Fury Against Fate needs to be patched. Playing on Xbox

I had this same bug weeks ago and gave up. did it earlier today successfully.
I tried about 30 different things before I tried this really stupid sounding fix someone posted on a site. I’ll describe it and link the site here.
this will make your ping time skyrocket while tabbed out but will go back to normal when you focus back to game
if you have only 1 monitor set background audio to enabled
- stand outside dungeon
- set background fps to 1
- enter dungeon then alt tab or click on another screen
- wait for dungeon to fully load then click back to game screen
- go talk to quest npc
- immediately click off screen or alt tab forcing 1 fps again
- click back on screen after NPC’s start shouting
- continue quest as normal

Quest finally worked for me today 20 july. I didn’t do anything special, just went into the cave and completed it in 2 minutes… kinda a let down lol, after all i have been trying to complete this one quest for over a month.
