Lots of people upset about skeletons while I’m mourning explosive mist aspect
Yes, it was wildly overtuned during previous betas allowing you to become almost invincible killing machine as long as there were corpses nearby. Unfortunatelly, as it is right now, this aspect has been nerfed to the point that it’s a waste to even put it on the gear.
The aspect has been changed from ‘offensive’ to ‘utility’ so you can’t put it on 2h weapon and double it’s effect which is a reasonable nerf. The CD reduction has been drastically lowered to 0,2 - 0,5 sec Blood Mist CD reduction for every explosion, which again, is a absolutely fine because you no longer can be immune permanently refreshing Blood Mist CD.
However, the change that is complete overkill is the number of explosions triggered during single cast of Blood Mist has been capped at 5, no matter how many corpses are on the ground. So effctively you can reduce Blood Mist CD by 2,5 sec tops, which feels just bad, especially that Blood Mist CD has been recently increased from 20 to 24 sec.
Suggestion: Doubling the number of possible explosion ‘triggers’ would reduce Blood Mist CD by max 5 sec, which is nothing crazy, yet necro could again feel like this chaotic blood storm cutting through hordes of demons.
Even if the number of explosion ‘triggers’ were uncapped, you would need 48(!) corpses to reduce Blood Mist CD to 0 sec.
It has changed to be a utility Aspect. So no 50% or 100% boost with ammy or 2H weapon as those are for offensive Aspects. Max you get is 0.5 sec CD per corpse.
And it gets worse, people that got it on server slam is saying there is also a cooldown on how many corpses it explodes, whereas before it exploded every corpse you walked over. Nerfed to the ground, but maybe good at super endgame with level 18 blood mist and CDR? Who knows.
Well, you should look it up because as I said, it can’t be put on a 2h weapon anymore, which is actually good nerf.
Bold of you to assume you will get perfectly rolled Shako and the CD reduction on Decrepify you are talking about is actually Lucky hit chance, not a guarantee.
Even if your predictions regarding CDR in endgame are correct it still doesn’t change the fact that as it is right now, Explosive Mist aspect with 5 explosions cap is very underwhelming compared to other ‘utility’ aspects: +2 skeletal warriors, +2 skeletal mages, +20% CC duration and +20-50% DMG to unstoppable enemies just to name a few.
