Frozen orb build question

Okay, I just recently found out that having 5 ranks of Frozen Orb is NOT the maximum. It’s the maximum for skill points but it can be increased by items. I initially thought if I saw 7 ranks I could remove 2 points to put them somewhere else.

Yeah, yeah, feel free to point at the noob.

What I don’t get however is that the in the build on Maxroll they show 13 ranks to Frozen Orb, which means I should get 8 from items. I however see only one item (the Gloves) in that build where I should aim for that. My problem is that what I’ve seen dropping the max number of ranks is 3???

It explains in any case why I can’t get past level 60 in the Pit -_- (next to the fact I probably need way more health as armor and resistance are at max).

You can get Ranks to Core skills on Gloves +4 to Frozen Orb if its GA then with Masterwork you can increase it further you need to hit the Affix 3 times to max it. And Yes to progress in Pit you definitly need to hit 9.3k Armor and 70% Resist Cap, or what ppl are using on Sorc atm a lot is the infinite Flame Shield where you basicly need to hit rolls on Tempering
