❄ "Frozen" monster affix buggy since 1.1.3

Since patch 1.1.3 the monster affix “forzen” (the cold DOT damage circles that appears on the ground) bacame an unavoidable mechanic that does very high damage right away.

Normaly the damage of this affix builds up slowly and has its peak damage at the end + the explosion.

Since 1.1.3 this affix damages player with full damage right away without any buildup, sometimes even before the animation is visible.

Guess this shouldn’t be the case because it’s impossible to dodge the damage of this affix atm and it even 1-hit certain builds in higher NM dungeons (We had a simular situation in Diablo 3 back in the days).

Considering that they’ve worked on a fix of cold crowd control affixes of monsters I assume that this is a bug that has sneaked in during the work. :wink:

Did you post this in bug forum? If not would be good idea. If you have video evidence all the better.

You mean they did something and it broke the game more? Like every single patch and update so far… you don’t say.

It’s ok they are new at this, cut them some slack. They really need to get back to making skins and can’t be bothered to code properly.

Its not like this only happens to Blizzard, but they definitly made a habbit out of it.
Like if there was any “reverse effect” variable they can switch to each process and do this just for giggles.

It’s almost comical how many times “this has been fixed” was just an outright lie.

Not even starting on everything they haven’t bothered to touch yet.

just wait, they havent added the 5 or 12 hotfixes yet

That hasn’t been my experience, but the frost spiders in Fractured Peaks just chain CC’d me over and over again at lvl 8.

The pattern seems to go something like

Release update/patch
Release hotfix
Release hotfix to disable a bigger problem the hotfix didn’t cover (optional)
Release hotfix to fix the initial hotfix
Release hotfix to finally roll out the intended feature.

How many times have we seen 3 or more hotfixes for an update/patch? Every time? All but once?

At least they can add another feature for SEASON 3 when they announced it!!!

i’m getting stunlocked non stop since latest patch, despite having stunlock reducing talents, abilities, items

also it seems like EVERYONE has frozen now

I swear it’s like i’m replaying D3 all over again and fighting enemies with the same damned frozen orb traps that we had back then in inferno 1 and everyone quit cause youhad to use RMAH to get gear to counter it…
