I just wanna share this here if you are planning to play the game from console to PC:
- You will have to buy the game again. I did
- It took me months to retrain my reflexes from console Xbox to PC. The one I had trouble before was evading and moving around. Now I feel I am on par with my console reflexes.
- Being able to point around with a mouse is a huge advantage when you’re a Hydra or Firewall player.
- Graphics is also way better, but I think what benefited the most is being able to capture higher quality footage for YouTube.
But if there’s a big takeaway, retraining your reflexes is what I find the most difficult part.

If you have Gamepass Ultimate you don’t have to rebuy, as you get the Xbox and PC version both. I have it and I will switch over to PC if I have massive amount of inv management I need to do. My gaming PC is like 12 years old, so I don’t play on it.

Really? I have to buy one via Battle.net. Well, I don’t have Gamepass. Won’t that require montly subscription?
So if I buy the PC I still have to subscribe monthly to play the game in PC?
No, you subscribe to Gameepass Ultimate and you get both Xbox and PC gamepass included. So it’s “free” on both, but you can only be logged into one at a time per account.
I guess that’s the part I wanna avoid. The monthly subscription with Gamepass (or the yearly). I’m not playing my Xbox Series X anymore too.
But it’s good to know btw
Non of these battle.net/game pass replies are correct. You literally have to pay for game pass ultimate as well as battle.net unless you purchase the game(then you just pay battle net). On console all you do is pay game pass ultimate for the free game and it’s seasonal content

And in order to play D4 on PS5, you also have to pay a subscription because…Sony.

On my PC, I just pay the game one time via Battle.net. No montly subscriptions.
On my Xbox, I have to buy the game one time and have a subscription to Xbox Live as well.
My Xbox all I have is game pass. A buddies PC needs both game pass and battle.net pass so 30$ to play a game you can literally play for 18$ a month instead
But if I just wanna play Diablo in PC, do you really need to subscribe for $18 a month? Right now, I’m not subscribed to anything.
Just playing Diablo 4 after paying it once in Battle.net
Battle.net is a monthly charge as well as game pass. Either way the game is slowly turning into a cash grab and loosing its experience.
Really? I’m not paying monthly in Battle.net., Hmmm let me check my accounts then
Should be anywhere from 12.99-14.99 a month
Honestly the game is going down hill and the new content should be 100% free it’s such garbage
I don’t see any recurring monthly payments in my battle.net transaction. I’m not seeing it any of my email or bank as well.
It charges my friend for playing PC even tho he has game pass. He can literally log onto a console but not a PC due to not paying battle.net. so if I was you I’d look for a charge that is around 10-20$ a month that your not sure of. They are definitely getting their money from you
This game is quickly turning into a cash grab and loosing it credibility
That’s not true. I play on PS5 without PS Plus. Everything works exept PVP and joining a party online. Couch coop works too.
Interesting. I wonder when this changed, because when the game released the game stated PS5+ was required for online access (and since it is an online game…)
I play from day 1 without plus. There is a banner every time you boot the game but you can dismiss it and play solo/couch coop
