Maybe I’m crazy but I love playing as a facetanking, life stealing frenzy barbarian. It’s been my primary since D2 when D2 launched. Two swords with three perfect skulls in each. Full fury at almost all times. Stand back and blast, I’ll hold them off!
In the D4 early beta, frenzy barb is useless. No “life on hit” which is the core of the build, and as far as I can tell no bonus for full fury meter. Even frenzy itself seemed slower than both previous games. Needs buffs baby! Needs life on hit! Bring back the frenzy barb Blizzard! Respectfully

I agree that no LL is a sticking part for barbs atm–especially since melee combat in the beta feels much more dangerous than ranged. It could be possible to stack life on kill and use weaker trash mobs as a way to mitigate this issue.
As for full fury bonus, there is a way to gain Fortify once your fury is full, I forget if its a passive or skill upgrade or legendary but I was running it on my barb.
Also barb feels like goat

Yeah life on kill is cool for mobs, but suddenly useless against bosses, which used to be the main strength of the frenzy barb.
That’s good about the full fury item or whatever you found. Hopefully there is more like that.

I think every boss I fought was also immune to CC which is something you absolutely want to have against mobs. It amounts to a wasted skill slot in most fights unless they happen to summon adds and quite a few of them do.
We will have to wait and see what’s in the paragon system, but that’s late game, until then you will have to work around with gear, gems, aspects or other skills/passives for survivability.

As i see the paragon trees, there will be similar builds to frenzy barb.

That aspect actually looks like it might make life on hit irrelevant… I hope it works out. Gotta make frenzy barb work! That’s the name of the game for me
*On open beta I built more defensively with fortify and thorns, found some items that beef up basic attacks, and got the aspect of anemia which gives almost a 1/3 chance to stun. Frenzy barb is not dead. Sorry for throwing a fit.
