If you free any of the prisoners before the event properly pops up for the dungeon event (Demon Vessel in my case, it has other variations though) the ones you freed before it pops up won’t count, and you can be stuck at 4/5 with no more prisoners to free for the mastery.
The prisoners you freed beforehand are still linked to the summoner by the red line, but can’t be interacted with.
I’m experiencing the same situation. I can free all but one prisoner. There’s no object with which to interact.
Second time running into this event. Even after patch, this is still bugged…
