Hello, I have rtx 3060ti , i5 12400F and 32gb ddr6 4000 ram w asus motherboard. I m playing 2k ultra . I have monster aryond a32 screen w 165hz , normally Im taking +120 fps w this graphics but most of time its goin down to 35-40 . When I check GPU heat its around 60-70 , I guess this is normal but cant find the reason of fps drop.
I have the exact same PC specs and I’m getting over 150+ FPS, everything maxed out, maybe 10 fps lower (140) in a busy city.
Looks like your hardware and/or your drivers are faulty.
You could potentially do a clean install of the game just for the record.
I did once , but its still same actually. I have 2 tb ssd and more than half is empty already… Idk whats the problem but that fps drop is killing me…
Yeah cool if you have the same specced PC parts pls let me know wehere to get your time travel machine ddr6 Ram is expected in 2024 to 2026 to come to market.
Ok now the joke beside, you have a RTX 3060ti, if i am correct this card has 8 GB VRAM.
D IV needs lot of VRAM and has a VRAM Memory Leak at the Moment and 8 GB is simply not enough for the load with HD Textures installed.
I suggest you deinstall the HD Texture for D IV in the battle.net client settings for D IV, i hope the will change how often the game drops FPS.
They said the have somthing in the works for the VRAM usage and Memory Leaks for and after Season One, you can then try it out with reinstalling the HD Texture-Pack.
lol that was good , yea I checked now its ddr4
Idk where I saw that ddr6
point is when I make it 1920x1440 , first few mins there is no drop , but 1 hour later kinda same problem. But is it normal that level fps drop from +140 to 30? I mean if Vram wasnt enough , fps cant go higher than 40 45 normally…
Your GPU has GDDR6 RAM.
Sounds like a memory leak issue.
Set your textures to high, everything else on max and DLSS quality if you want max FPS.
Ultra needs 16GB of VRAM to run without problems.
The memory optimization in the PC version is really bad.
Supposedly the patch tomorrow will improve it, but i kinda doubt it ![]()
As i wrote before D IV has am Memory Leak Problem. You lower the quality it eats up less VRAM in the same amount of time or your 8 GB VRAM last some time longer before its full. The same, is my uninstall HD Textures solution but in experience it last way longer then just decreasing the quality and resolution. Hopefully it last as long as your playsession.
When your VRAM is fully utilized, the game stores graphical data in system RAM, and if the GPU needs it, it has to be transferred from RAM to VRAMM, thats when and why the FPS drops, because the game has to wait for the transfer to finish before it can render the next frames.
One can Monitor such behaviour with overlay tools ingame, like MSI Afterburner with its Riva Statistics Server, or other tools. These can be configured to schow the current values of usage. But sometimes they cause problems in games to. I dont have any problems, game runs fine in 1440p and ultra details on a 12 GB VRAM videocard for me.
Okay thanks for advice guys. but for sure there is optimization problem in the PC version… I hope they ll fix it.
