Forums too tense

These forums are just full of a bunch of tense people logging on with one simple goal:

To be toxic and argue

We need more lighthearted posts. More game content posts. More joke posts. More helpful posts.

Instead we get this weird nerdy uncivil war. It’s like the stores ran out of code red and pizza rolls or something.

The game content posts ARE the joke posts…

The whining posts are joke posts. Anyone who gets upset over a video game is a joke.

Like this one.

This was from a news article with a quote from the prior campfire chat:

“Fletcher set the precedent for the tense mea culpa with admirable frankness: “To kick us off here, I think we want to obviously acknowledge everyone’s feedback in regards to reducing player power. We know it’s bad, we know it’s not fun, and its something we ourselves know is not the greatest play experience for players out there””

I think that this speaks volumes about why the mood is “tense” for a subset of forum posters. Blizzard themseveles acknowledged that it was not fun in their opinion.

Good show. I follow that standard as well, comrade. That’s the way to make this forum the Best Place to Visit on the Internet®.

I think being upset or disappointed over a game is fine and normal. The problem is the way some people choose to express that disappointment. Choosing to psychotically stalk and harass anyone who enjoys the game or doesn’t agree with that disappointment is what’s utterly abnormal and the joke.

Oh ya! Cause they are banning and suspending negative posters now a lot more frequently I noticed.

Give it a month or two, the forums will die down, you won’t have the white knights or the naysayers arguing with each other trying to convince the other they are in fact wrong and their side is right.

Honestly though, I enjoy the show. It’s been great entertainment when I can’t play games.

True, these forums have provided me a lot of entertainment when sitting at a loading screen or while commercials are on.

This exactly… It’s also what defenders of this game don’t want to admit. The game itself isn’t finished tons of problems with the code (stashes) problems with elemental resistances, bugs to no end and over-tuned/under-tuned unbalanced garbage left and right…,

Love it all you want that won’t make me and other love it… was it worth the money I paid? Maybe… I did play it from 1-100 and on season 1-40…. So I guess I got my money’s worth.

But as a fan of the franchise it could have been so much more and better. I want to see it get better as I feel it deserves that.

We all do my friend, and I agree it doesn’t help when you have particular people that can’t or won’t look at the flaws of the game. I understand you enjoy the game, and are having fun with it, but you can at least admit there are some problems within the game that need to be addressed. No game is without flaws, but some are definitely worse then others.

When we buy expensive products the makers of said products love to send us all surveys. We give them feedback data that improves their quality and helps keep it strong.

Argumentation is good and healthy human behavior.

Insisting that having conflicting views is harmful is the real toxicity.

“Debate” is good. Aggressive inflammatory behavior is one of many types of behaviors we look for to diagnose many psychological/social disorders.

Or in my field we can even use it to profile people then attempt to help contain the drive behind some of the behavior.

People aren’t able to make the difference between facts and opinions. That’s all there is to say about it. Misinformation is growing. This is probably the biggest stake that no one is talking about that will hit every one of us in any given field. Appreciate this time as it will certainly end one day or another.

Look up the mount video getting stuck on rocks. D4 has turned into a giant meme at this point so not hard to be entertained
