I think its BS. I do everything I can to get them. Do the content I was told to do and still not a single one. I think the youtube videos I see with everyone saying do this or go here is nothing but lies for likes. Lie and cheat to make money. Its the American way.

Have to target farm Undercity with masterworking tribute, helltides chests, infernal hordes and nmd seems to have no souls lol.

You can get caches of them from bartering in the mercenary den. Refresh it and sometimes you’ll get another.

If it helps, I get mine from Tortured chests in Helltide.
EDIT: Also just saw something about defeating the blood maiden gives you 3 of these. 6 if you activated one of the thingies yourself.

Oh look. They did an update and now I have forgotten souls.
Funny that somebody has to point out and complain before
they fix the problem. Way to be right on top of your problems
and screw ups. That’s right. There was an update right after I
complained and suddenly I got the missing items that were
supposed to be there all along. Then they hide this post because
they wouldn’t want anyone to know what they did or failed to do
right?
it’s still not enough, forgotten souls seem to be out of kilter compared to every other material drop rate in the game

They implemented a hotfix which drastically increased the drop rate so I hope this will help you out. I didn’t personally have a shortage but at several points I neared zero. I also Helltide a lot though. Blood Maiden was the best source, overall.
